I will be getting married this July!!!!! My grandpa (mom’s dad) died this december, and my fiance’s grandma is on her death bed right now, expected to not make it through the weekend =( We want to do something REALLY extra special for them to honor their memory at the wedding…any ideas?

This is something that I saw once and was really sweet. The set up a very small table for two up just like the regular tables, it was i the corner. On the table where the name tags would be there were pictures of the brides grandparents and a candle.
My FHs father died several years ago and the whole family was really close. The FH does not want to do anything publicly as he doesn’t want to bring sad thoughts to our happy day. So instead of doing anything public, he is wearing a charm behind his lapel with his dads picture in it and I will have a charm in my bouquet with pictures of my grandparents. Our little way to make them present.

I had a section of the program entitled “With Us in Our Hearts” and listed our grandparents, my father and a niece. I did want to remember them, but didn’t want anything to be sad. I was going to do the charm thing, but it was too many people! You can buy the chaarms at Michaels in the jewelry section or on Etsy.
