Did you check the Classifieds here?  Might be a long shot but worth a peek!

Don’t forget to ask a florist if they can get them for you at a better price.

For the 4″ ones

1. http://www.dfwvases.com/Block_Glass_VasesBlock_Glass_Vase_12_x_12_x_4_4_p_c.html

              4/$74

2. http://www.partyspin.com/12-x4-Clear-Block-Glass-Vase-p/ps4021vbv.htm

$29.95 each

Found a rental here for $7: maybe not near you but other party places might have them also:

There was a post in the classifieds here on the bee from someone selling 6 of the 4″ high square vases about 5 months ago.

I like your centerpeice idea! But I think 4 inches will be too short, I think your better off with the 8x8x8 vs. the 12x12x4

Does your venue require that candles be in glass? A lot do, but if yours doesn’t, you could just cluster the candles around the pumpkin, minus the glass!

Having seen your idea, I don’t think the 4″ vases would do the job. Neither do I think it would be nearly so effective with out the vase.

I would either look for a rental, or consider looking for an acrylic vase. You could even make them yourself. There is no need to hold water so you could cut sqaures and glue them together yourself.

I don’t know where you live so can’t suggest any rental place.
