I wish empty rhymed with green…it doesn’t. Here’s my corny suggestion.

===

Roses are red [or whatever flower your using and whatever color it is]

Apples are green

We’d love to see you

Leave this vase clean

Roses are white

Apples are green

We’d love to see you

Leave this vase clean

I think it works. It’s a personal twist 😉

When the day comes to an end,

before you walk out the door,

feel free to take an apple

or two or three or four!

Why not put a little recipe for something you can do with the apples, like apple pie? You could put that on the little cards on the table, and people could take that and the apples with them. BOOM – FAVORS – DONE!

my two cents:

They’re strong, they’re fresh, they’re sweet to the lip

Perfect metaphor –

for this new voyage of our relationship

Please accept our thanks, for sharing this new beginning;

Take these dashes of sunshine with you,

At the end of this evening…

🙂

it might be cute to use all these ideas + more and have a different poem at every table!

@MamaHusky3: I disagree! I love your one that ends in two, or three or four!
