I’m getting married in a few weeks, so will be able to provide a full review then, but we are using Todd Frame. He’s worth a look – has been a dream to work with thus far and his photos are incredible. Reasonably priced, although probably in the high end of your budget.

Good luck.

Megan Khichi (based in NJ, I’m not sure what her travel radius is) did some pictures for me and she was fantastic. I think she mostly shoots maternity and children so you might be able to get a deal and go way under your budget if she’s trying to build a wedding portfolio.

i’m using erin keough photography, based out of york/lancaster. her prices are pretty reasonable, but i’m paying more than 1400 (and getting a bigger package). but i think she can work with you to create a package that would work for you! i’ve been very happy with her so far and she’s shot a friend’s wedding and my cousin’s wedding, as well. google her name or message me if you want more info

good luck!

Full day coverage, a disc, an album and prints?  For $1400?  Finding a halfway decent photographer just to do the coverage at $1400 is going to be a big stretch.  I’m not trying to insult you or your budget, but realistically you are looking at probably $2000 just get the ball rolling with a good professional in the Philadelphia area.  With an album and prints you’re easily in the 4K range.

@Krystal.Marie.Molino.Harper:  No offense taken, I am not getting married locally so we didn’t consider any tri-state photogs, but the photographer we picked is a veteran. It is expensive (especially in a Northeastern city), I think for a lot of people this one comes down to trying someone new (everyone starts somewhere) or reconfiguring the budget. If you’re not looking at people building, you might have to rethink your budgeting, unfortunately.  Good luck.

I know some great photographers that I think are a “bargain” and they probably start around 2500.  I highly recommend Melissa Manzione and would check out Natalie Franke as well.

I used Barnyard Photography and was really happy with our pictures.  They are within your budget but don’t include an album.  Here are my recaps if you want to check out their work:

I highly recommend Melissa Engle.  She is based in Lancaster.  She did a friend’s wedding and my engagement photos, and she is very reasonably priced.
