Hi ladies. I purchased a jar of opals on a road trip once and I have always wanted to get jewelry made out of them. I am thinking of a OPAL thin stackable wedding band. Do any of you have any suggestions on this process.? OR PICTURES. Or know of a good online jelwer? I would prefer a online jeweler as we live way out away from town 😉

Opal is fragile, I wouldn’t stack it personally but maybe go w a RHR. I love Rare Earth on Etsy.

Opals are rather fragile. They scratch easily, they are unhappy in dry conditions and they can crack with sudden temperature changes. They are great in a necklace worn occasionally but not in a ring that you intend to wear all the time.
If I were you I’d choose a different stone for a wedding ring. Diamonds, sapphires and rubies are all hard stones that are more likely to last. Moissanite is also hardwearing.
