So I’m not crafty, but I am thrifty and wanted something different for our guest book. I’ve settled on a signing tree and fell in love with this:
Being thrifty, and wanting to make it more meaningful, we asked my FH’s father to paint us a tree on canvas. Now, I’ve gotten myself into a bit of a pickle. The ‘dots tree’ is on paper, like card stock. The canvas trees (like on etsy) are ‘thumbprint trees’ where people use ink pads and place their thumbprint like leaves. My fiance doesn’t like this, he wants the dots.
Sooo…now I have a tree oil painted on canvas and need to attach dots to it. I haven’t made the dots yet but I was planning on punching them out of card stock.
Help me bees! How can I attach card stock dots to a canvas painting. Glue? What kind of glue, etc? Or am I totally screwed? Painting this tree has practically made my FFIL’s life, I can’t not use it now.
Fingers crossed you crafty ones have solutions for me!!
