- Wedding: September 2013
My Fiance and I have a friend whose husband joined the Coast Guard. Everything went into action faster than they thought so instead of getting married this year(like they had planned) they got married in the courthouse the day they left to move up North East. Because they are good friends my Fiance and I got them a really nice gift for their new home and drove up there to visit them. Well here in the next couple of months they are having a vow renewal/celebration for the big wedding they never had. Nothing crazy fancy but just a way for their family and friends to get together and celebrate. Gifts are not required nor were they asked for. But we really want to get/do something nice for them since they are great people.
They are more or less established in their new home so home items aren’t really needed.
We were going to put a bow on their Pit and bring her back to them(we currently have her as the place they live in does not allow the breed) but their move fell through.
I was thinking about inviting them on vacation with us this Summer(a few weeks after their renewal) since I got an ah-FREAKIN-mazing deal but I also want it to be a special surprise and I’m fairly sure it would be next to impossile for her husband to take that extra time off from the Coast Guard.
I’m the worst gift giver ever. I try to give something personal and special but I feel like I fall short.
