@Seashells7:  I haven’t figured out all of our timing stuff, but our ceremony venue is giving us two hours for the rehearsal the Friday night before the wedding.

I would suggest your rehearsal be on Friday evening if you’re having a Saturday wedding.  Length depends on the size of your wedding, but 2 hours should be enough at the church.  As for your ceremony, you should choose a time that correlates with your reception, and work backward from there

I am trying to figure out the same things myself.  Rehersal you’ll probably need 1-2 hours depending on the size of the wedding, number of children, readers etc that need to be rehearsed.

Day of, start at your reception and work backwards – if you having a seated dinner at 6:00 start there and go back ie:

1.5 hours for post ceremony photos

0.5 hours greeting outside church

Ceremony starts at 4:00

and so on.  For hair etc, I would add at least 30 minutes to how long you think everything will take, nothing ever goes to plan and you don’t want the stress of ‘running late’
