@graygodess20:  Take a deep breath, spotting is wicked scary. I’ve had it happen twice now and it totally freaks me out. Both times have been after BD. At 24w we BD on a Saturday night & I had pink spotting on MONDAY morning, i was like WTH? (i also had my 24w check up that day and everything was fine) – then we BD again Saturday morning and I had spotting afterwards, ugh. I wasn’t as scared the second time but it still made me feel super uncomfortable. GL to you and keep us posted!

@graygodess20:  I didn’t have any spotting butI had a ton of cramping up until 12w or so. If you were MC, I would expect the clots to be bigger with how far along you are. It could be completely normal. If you are MC, there is nothing the doctors or ER can do. Personally, I would wait to hear back from my regular doctor, especially since you have an appointment scheduled tomorrow anyway. In the meantime, take the day off and rest as much as possible.

@graygodess20:  If it will help you calm down, by all means, go to the ER. Call doc back and let him/her know where you’ll be just in case, and go. Try to remain calm. *Hugs*

I’m so sorry you are going through this, I hope it turns out to be nothing. I spotted from the day I implanted until I mc’d at 8w0d. The day of the actual MC I had AF like cramps for a while before I started passing large clots. It lasted about an hour and I did actually see the tissue from the sac at one point. I hope this is not it for you and it’s just a spotting spell. I know it happens and people go on to have normal pregnancies. Keeping everything crossed for you.

@graygodess20:  If you can stand to hold out until tomorrow’s appointment then I would since you already have it scheduled anyway, but if you don’t mind the cost of the ER and are going to drive yourself insane rather than relax then I would go. That’s why I went, I knew I wouldn’t be able to calm myself down and I would have had to wait a few days to get an ultrasound scheduled. If you go into the ER they would do the US right away to check on it, so if that’s what would make you feel more comfortable then do what you feel is right for you.

@graygodess20:  Fingers crossed that all is ok! It can be scary, but try to relax right now.

Try not to get too worked up, keeping more relaxed will help baby feel at ease.

I had some spotting at 7w and freaked. I went to the ER, had an ultrasound and everything was fine.  I’ve seen several bees have spotting or even heavy bleeding and they went on to have healthy babies.

@graygodess20:  I’m surprised they’re not having you go in for an ultrasound given the spotting.

I’ll be honest with you, when I discovered I was having a MC at 9w, the “spotting” was just the very very faintest shade of pink on the toilet paper — I wouldn’t have seen it if I wasn’t really watching out for it, and it only showed up once. I called my doc and they had me go in for a u/s and found that there was no heartbeat. FX for you that everything is okay.

I’m really hoping for the best for you. I was having a lot of brown clotty discharge a few days ago, and went in for an emergency scan – only to find baby had a totally normal heartbeat. My OB said that even spotting with clots can be fairly normal in a healthy pregnancy. (Not *normal* normal, but it’s also not a sure sign of a miscarriage – lots of women have spotting with clots and go on to have healthy pregnancies.)

I’m so sorry you have to go through this difficult waiting period, and I am hoping that everything is okay. Sending hugs…
