At least you are on homestretch!  I know it is frustrating…I just posted about turning 30 and being not engaged, married, and not having any kids.  This is magnified in my life because I am one of the older cousins in my family…and everyone has kids and marriages!!  My younger brother got engaged and is planning his wedding, and my aunt even got divorced, remarried, and had kids all in my 20’s!!  While I am happy for them, when I look at my 6 years younger cousin/5 years younger brother, its soooooo frustrating to feel like they have these things going for them in their lives and where is mine future?  Is by current Boyfriend or Best Friend even the one?!? At least yours is coming!!  Try to enjoy where you are at right now!!

I know it’s a pain to wait, and it makes it worse when others get engaged. Remember that all relationships mature at different speeds, though, and some are ready after a few months while others take years. Just be happy knowing that you’ve spent all the time possible ensuring that you’re both ready, happy and willing to put in all it takes, rather than rushing in and regretting it later! 🙂

Oh I know what you mean!!! Even if I know that it doesn’t mean that their relationship is better, it does bother me too… I got a bit sad around Christmastime when it seemed like ever time I would log onto Facebook there would be a new engagement annoucement, and most of these couples had been dating for way shorter than my SO and I.

This is a bit awful, but it seems that many of those young couples who marry after a few months of dating will probably end in divorce anyway 😉

Ugh I feel your pain!! At least you have less than 3 weeks to go!! I was upset when my sister got engaged, even though they has been together for years, they only started talking about getting married this past summer when my SO and I has been talking about since March! My SO always calms me down by reminding me that even though they are first, its not a good relationship, that we will have a marriage that lasts bc of our relationship.  So anytime someone else gets engaged, I just remind myself how lucky I am to have an amazingrelationship, and it sounds like you do the same! Just think, in less than 3 weeks you will be the one others are envious of!

@annasaf83:  That’s very exciting for you, but did you have to put down the other girl’s ring? Every girl’s e-ring is beautiful to her! I just don’t get when I read posts here of women putting down other’s rings…
