I have a 2011 Mazda 2 and I love it.  It’s a small car, but inside feels surprisingly roomy from what you would expect.  It is excellent on gas as well.

@CholeLeAnn: lol, it sat at some guy’s for a while. I’ve had it 3.5 years now and I think it had 57,000 when I got it? And two 9 month segments were when I was in school and didn’t use it too often compared to now. I’ll give you a great deal on it if you’re interested, lol!

edit: looks like this – my mom really likes it, she calls it a ‘cute’ car. I don’t think it looks 20 years old, haha!

I have a 2011 Mazda 3 and I love it so much! I downsized from a Ford Escape and I honestly don’t miss it. The trunk size is really generous and the hatchback and fold down seats make it easy to fit large items.

I have a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta SE that I am in love with! It has enough luxury that I feel snazzy when I drive it, but it was still affordable for me unlike an Audi or BMW. It’s a great winter vehicle and I have no problem driving in snow (I live in Alaska, so that is extremely important). It just drives so nicely. I will NEVER purchase a non-German made car again. If I were buying an SUV or pickup truck I would consider domestic, but certainly not a car. German cars are just better made.. but the downside is that because of that the parts are expensive. So be sure to get a great warranty. Mine is Certified so the warranty is badass. Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

Hyundai Tibaron.  It’s a hand-me-down from my mom.  Dad put new tires on it and and cleaned it up for Christmas, so I’m liking it more, but I don’t love it.  I used to drive a Mercury Cougar, which I love love loved, but it got totalled almost a year ago by a kid who wasn’t paying attention at a stop light.

Fiance has a GMC Jimmy that he swears by, but scares the daylights out of me.

Chevy Cavalier. I’ve had two now and I swear by them. The things run on love. I barely ever change the oil, they get great gas mileage, and no matter how many curbs I hit, my wheel alignment is still perfect.

Yes, I know. I abuse my car, but always remember to tell her that I love her!

2012 Hyundai Elantra Touring.  Just got her in November.  Love it.  Before that, I had a 2000 Toyota Echo with 197,000 miles on it.  We definitely got our money’s worth out of that car!  I highly recommend checking out Consumer Reports; it helped us a lot in our research.

Mini cooper! Scooty, compact, cute! Surprising about of space if it’s just two people in the car.  Super super efficiant on gas.  I sometimes don’t refill for 2-4 weeks.  Also, with a nearly nonexiant back seat, people CAN fit there but no one will ask for you to drive in carpools ๐Ÿ˜‰

2011 Honda CR-V EXL. I loooooove it. Good on gas, in the snow, to haul the dogs & passengers at the same time (why I bought it). You can’t beat a honda for long term reliability!
