Larger brides (despite SYTTD: Big Bliss, which I almost find insulting. Just put them in with the regular show)

Older brides

Definitely non-Christian brides.

Plus Size – If the average woman is a size 14 in the US then why are the samples usually a size 6?

Officiants were mentioned earlier, I agree they’re too little considered given that they can make or break a ceremony.  I remember recently reading on the boards about a poor bee whose officiant was hitting on her bridesmaids during the service.

Mothers of the bride.  I don’t mean the glossy impossibly young and thin pretend ones in the magazines.  But the realistic older and often slightly rounded ones that are actual mothers.

LGBT – I have a transgendered friend and another friend who is gay that had a rough time finding more than a couple websites.

i would also add to the list brides with children – either from previous marriages or who are marrying the dad of their children and have waited for one reason or the other until after the child is born – at least a huge trend in europe i hear!

As a plus size bride it’s always frustrating to see all of these skinny minis featured on the blogs (not talking about WB but blogs in general) when I know damn well that there are incredible plus size weddings that would blow theirs out of the water. Plus size brides are just as beautiful as average sized brides but because we’re heavier, we’re automatically second best. If our wedding turns out as incredible as I think it’s going to, I fully plan to submit it to various blogs but do you think it will get chosen? Highly doubtful.

Does anyone know if a plus size wedding blog exists? ‘Cause if not, I may start one…

I agree with multiple posters. Definitely the bride on a budget. It’s almost frowned upon when I would be speaking to certain people and they’d ask me my budget, they would definitely start speeding up the call when they realized they weren’t in my price range.

I agree with All MOB’s aren’t 70, so don’t dress them like they are — as one PP said as well. My mom is having a really hard time finding a dress that she feels good and HER AGE in.

The Officiant — I totally agree. We’re having a big issue with this.

Gaaaaaaah. It makes me want to pull my hair out even more. Oh, and on a SN: WHY ARE FLOWERS SO DAMN EXPENSIVE?!
