- Wedding: August 2012
I’m sure there has already been a post on this but I can’t seem to find one that’s exactly like my situation. My question is: we are getting ready to address and send out our wedding invitations and I was wondering if it’s bad etiquette to stick the rehearsal dinner invite in with the wedding invitation for those invited (just immediate family and wedding party). Yes, Father-In-Law are hosting but we ordered the invites because we had some vistaprint freebies. So, I’ll be responsible for sending them out.
Benefits of sending them together:
- Out of town family/friends will know to make arrangemnets to stay 2 nights as opposed to one.
- Save Fiance and I on time (addressing another set of invites) and postage.
- Rehearsal Dinner invitation does not match our invitation set.. the wedding invitation is much more formal. I don’t want to take away from the beautiful invites that we’ve worked hard on.
Has anyone sent their unmatching Rehearsal Dinner invites & wedding invitations together? Would you think it’s tacky if you recieved them together for a wedding? Thanks for your help!
