OMG.  I can’t believe you want to name your dog Bosco.  I’ve never heard of another Bosco.  I adopted a Bosco in 2004 and sadly, he passed in 2008 (older doggie) and he was the best dog ever.  I adore our two now but Bosco was a gem.  I love the name.

We certainly incorporated our dogs and cat into our day. I would’ve seriously regretted it if we had not.  They are such a part of our lives.

Check out the video…you will have to watch about 1 -2 minutes before you see the pups.

And here are some photos…

@upstatebroad: Awww, thank you so much!  When I read your post, I almost fell over with the Bosco thing.  He holds such a special place in my heart.  He’s the angel doggie on the cake topper.  My husband got him made as a surprise for me on our day.  I had no clue, so when we got to the reception, he and i went in alone and he showed me the cake…I about lost it!  I always wanted photos of just Bosco and me on my wedding day (wasn’t even engaged at the time), so this is good 2nd.

I’m so glad you enjoyed the video!  Thanks.

So would you incorporate your dog into photos or the actual ceremony?

This is Bosco.  I can’t wait to see what your Bosco will look like!

I’d love to see pictures of LARGER dogs on the wedding day.  We have a 100lb mastiff mix and she’s my maid of honor (just don’t tell my sister).  Actually, she IS the ring bearer, and having a large dog doing it has its own set of challenges!

Did you all practice with your bigger doggies calming walking down to you?

I’m trying to get FH to stop being so excited when we come home and greet her calmly so that when she sees us at the wedding she’s not so excited.

@upstatebroad: well, when you do get your Bosco, please share a photo!  I’m sure I will still be on here.

I could talk dogtalk forever!  I was so excited when I saw your post.  So what are your wedding colors?

@jindc: That’s a great call about not overreacting when coming into the house.  Great idea!  This was one of the reasons we did NOT include them in the ceremony rather the pre-ceremony photos.  Can you have someone walk her (long walk) prior to the ceremony?

I can’t wait to have my Golden Pup and my parents Golden participate in my day! Ring Dogs! Fin brought me my engagement ring, so it’s only fit if they help with the big day too! Then they will stay for a few pics, then go home assuming it’s a hot day, they’ll want a swim, then to go home…won’t that be a hoot!

Both know “take it” and “show me” my sister will give them the “take it” at the top of the aisle, Fiance will call “show me” for them both at the front, we have practiced with both in crowds, off leash and at family get togethers (and will practice again this Christmas at a get together!) to ensure they have perfected it by July!

my girlfriend is making her a pillow for her collar and the florist is going to pin some flowers to it – most ‘dog clothes’ to not fit a 100lb dog!  Even her coat is tight now (she gets cold easily, no undercoat).

My neighbor/friend is walking her from our place to the ceremony and then walking her down the aisle for us – and she has a harness. I think we’re also going to have treats to get her to sit down right away when she gets to the chuppah.  However, I still worry that she’ll be antsy.  If anyone else has any tips on handling a large dog I’d love to hear them!

Oh, how I love these pics!

I wish we could have included our furkids.

I’ll be checking for more pics!

Yep! Our dog will walk down the aisle during the ceremony. He doesn’t really have a “job” because I don’t like the idea of tying expensive jewelry to his neck, but he’ll be there for moral support hah.
