Hello everyone (first time posting so please be gentle)
My FI and I are planning a very small wedding with no BP, the people we are inviting all have a very deep and special meaning to us and I’m curious of any fun/sentimental ways you all had your guests participate in the wedding. I know there are guest books and things like that but this is something I want to do a head of time as a total surprise for them. Here are some ideas:
- RSVP include a space for them to write their favorite memory with the bride or groom to include in a slide show at the reception or display in someway at reception
- Writing thank you cards to every guest and read at the ceremony while they wait for the wedding to start
That’s all I’ve got but the general concept is something personal for every guest that really doesn’t cost too much at all.
Loved to hear y’alls ideas!!

@BreakAlltheRules: Welcome to the Bee 🙂 I really like your ideas. We are doing something super small as well, so I’m commenting to hear some other ideas I may use, too 🙂
Edit: I was born in Pensacola and we are getting married at either Siesta Key or Anna Maria 🙂

Welcome to the hive! That is such a great idea, and very considerate of you! Perhaps you could (if you don’t want to have them read out at the ceremony) have the thank you notes waiting at each person’s plate for them. And you could include a picture of the pair of you with each guest 🙂

I like those ideas. I don’t know if this would work but when wedding lplanning our venue was originally outdoors so I printed a ton of pics of the wedding guests and us and glued them so there was a pic on the front and on the back. I hole punched each set and tied ribbon on it. I planned to hang them from a tree and put a banner on the tree that said “family tree”. Our venue changed to indoors so we were never able to do this but everyone loved the idea while I was working on it. When we changed our venue I used the pics and put them in the mason jars and set them up at each table the guests sat at

Aw I love these ideas! I really like personal touches in a wedding and I think people appreciate those things.
@Jacqui90: +1 on including a photo of you guys with each of the guests!

I like anything with photos! I have gathered together a wedding photo of every married couple attending and done a wedding timeline(over 40 photos), which i have really enjoyed doing and hopefully people will like looking at

I have been to a wedding where they requested each guest to send a pic of themselves that included the bride or groom. The pictures were made into a giant collage which made for some interesting perusing and discussions.

Our RSVPs were postcards so that everyone could write a message to the couple and then we got a photo book to put them all in

@BreakAlltheRules: We had everyone sign the marriage cert as a witness. We had 11 guests.

We had everyone who was married bring a framed photo from their wedding!! it was FANTASTIC — especially the 80’s brides with their big poofy dresses. It was the greatest thing ever and everyone loved looking at all the pics!
