i am looking for some cool and creative ideas to include my fiance’s son (7yrs. old) in our ceremony. we want him to feel special, too. we’ve already made him the “honorary” best man, but i thought maybe we could get him in on the actual ceremony as well…….

You could do a family sand ceremony.

I was the “flower girl” for my grandmother’s second wedding and stood up for my Dad when he remarried. We were young when my Dad got remarried, so the reception was just super kid friendly (like hula hoops and sidewalk chalk for a chunk of parking lot/patio they had sectioned off).
I love the idea of the family sand ceremony. I also think if he’s cool with reading in public, you can have him read a small reading, or maybe a toast at the reception. Why not ask him what he’d like to do and then see if you can incorporate it into the ceremony?? You might be surprised what he’d come back with.
