CandiedCotton, reading this made me so, so very excited! : ) I’m planning a rustic themed wedding using lots of cotton as well! YAY! Isn’t it such a unique, cool idea? : )

We got engaged November 6 and are getting married January 29, 2011, so we are skipping save-the-dates and just sending invitations. I made a cotton graphic that we’re using on them. Maybe you can still find a cotton field and have a picture taken in it and use that for your save-the-date?

kinda random, but what about using squares of muslim cotton fabric, and having a stamp made with your monogram and the date and a save the date? It would be real simple but really cool as well!

cotton muslin gift favor bag SAVE THE DATE no.1, muslin wedding favor gift bag, announcement, baby announcement, wedding announcement, muslin favor bag for soaps, candies, goody bag

you could stamp “save the date” on cotton muslin favor bags, and put a card inside with the information. Print a graphic of a cotton boll on the card.

Here are some ideas of where you can find cotton…

If you live in the south/are close to a university I would suggest you contact the Horticulture department or Agronomy/Soils department. There may be a graduate student growing cotton for research who may have a lot leftover. I found a whole box of cotton in the garbage because of someone’s research!
