My Fiance & I absolutely love our 3 cats! So we asked our celebrant to include them in our ceremony, something along the lines of….

“From the very beginning, ME & Fiance had fun with each other, joking, laughing and enjoying each other’s company; as well as being loving owners of their three cats Boo Boo, Gypsy and Toni, who are a big part of their family, having been with them since the beginning of their relationship.

lightchaser:  Oh, don’t tempt me !

cyntharella:  I’ve had furbabies like yours; she’s lucky to have you! I’m certain you’ll have a beautiful photo with her the day of your wedding. Incidently, I’ve seen some “pearl” necklaces for furbabies that I would wear… Before I forget: I don’t know the bride of the photos (I wish I did!); the photos are from a Brazilian site.

i would have loved to have my dog at our wedding but he’s a nut job haha. I had a cake topper of me, Darling Husband and my pooch made, I had two light up statues of my dog on the dessert table, and in our frame for guests to sign I had a picture of the 3 of us 😊

We also were asked if our schnoodle would be at the wedding. We are getting married in a church, so that was automatically a no. Plus, knowing our fur baby she would probably run up to the altar and take a big dump (JOKING….but imagine the pictures)

We are including her in our engagement photos, which will most likely be used for Save-The-Date Cards.

I’ve also seen a cake topper with a dog silhouette seated beside the couple. I love this and am hoping Fiance likes it too.

Oh I love it , look at her little throat. I love dogs throats ,and the backs of their necks…..

Is that weird?

elderbee:  Not weird at all!  I mean, one of my dogs is long-haired, and I bury my face on his neck all the time.  My creamy lipstick + long hairs = not a great combination!

janeloveskyle:  Not my photo. I imagine you could get a photo of your pup printed on foamboard at FedEx or the like and then use a box cutter to create the cut-out.

I plan to have pics of our dogs and cat for the table numbers. This way they will be part of our wedding without actually being there.

Fiance has commented several times about my horse being at the wedding. I’m not convinced. If nothing else he’ll lick me/my dress and then that’ll be that. Fiance did point out that the dress wouldn’t officially be mine until it had been licked by my horse though!

I’m leaning towards getting dressed up a second time and having photos taken with him on a different date after the wedding.

I would be tempted to teach him to drive, so that he could pull a trap that I arrived in, but he’s already in his 20s and I don’t have the equipment/facilities so I think that might be a non-starter.

lightchaser:  My Fiance and I were having a similar problem. We wanted to include our pup too but knew it would never be feasible for her to actually be at the wedding. She is also nervous around crowds and gets very possesive of me, which as you can imagine, isn’t really an ideal situation on my wedding day.

We ended up deciding to incorporate a silouette of her breed (Smooth Fox Terrier) on our custom made cake topper.  I had the topper made by a friend with an etsy shop, so if you’re interested in something similar, message me and I’d be more than happy to share the shop information!

I love this thread!

We wanted to include our puppy but he is just too much of a live wire, so in the end we included him in the invites in a discreet kind of way (he’s on the tag which ties the invites together).

we also printed some old school style Polaroid pictures which we annotated and hung on string which told the tale of our lives together. The dog featured very heavily in this timeline!

My sister gave a couple lifesize cardboard cut-outs of her friends dog when she got married (my sister was the MOH). One of the cut-outs was propped in front of the head table and the other was used as a prop in their photobooth. The bride loved it.
