I really wanted to include our Great Dane in the pictures before hand, but logistically I don’t think it’s going to work out. He’s going to be in the kennel for the weekend of the wedding ( πŸ™ ) so in order to have pictures with him on the day of the wedding I’d either have to go to the kennel, or someone should have to bring him home to where we are having pictures taken. This won’t work for us because when we pick him up from the kennel hes SO hyper and wants to jump and play, and I can picture human-sized paw prints all over my dress.

Im sad tho, I love my boy and I really want a picture with him.

We are bringing our two “kids” (one maltese mix and one doxie) to the ceremony. I’m planning on getting a tux for the maltese and getting a dress custom made fr the doxie since no dog clothes fit her.  We’re going to have our normal walker pick them up, bring them to the ceremony and then walk them home when we’re done so we don’t have to lose anyone during the wedding.

They are a huge part of our lives so of course they have to be involved!

I incorporated mine in other ways as opposed to having them “participate”.  I named a table after them (I didn’t use numbers, I named the tables things with meaning to us) and I also had a personalized cake topper made with both the furr babies on it with us.  It was so cute and now I have it in our home πŸ™‚

@bboot:  @czukor:  I have that exact same tux! I bought it for my cat (the shame of it) so we could take pictures of him in it for our thank you cards!

@badabing88:  I would love for my little man to be a part of our special day, but we are doing a weddingmoon and he isn’t allowed to come. Being apart from him for two weeks is going to break my heart. At least our friends are watching him and he won’t have to get boarded.

@weddingbound:  We are in the same boat. Also, I friggen love your dogs, they are so cute. I have a boxer (obviously), so I love the smushed faces too, lol. Even if it does mean snoring.

We didn’t have our Dachshund be a part of our wedding, but I was determined to get a photo of me & him together. He’s “our” dog, but he’s a mama’s boy. We got 3 nice pictures of us together, I was very happy with them!

love furry friends being involved! Fiance wanted to have his dog as our “ring bearer” sadly, he had to be put down so we’re not having a ring bearer at all. I did get a paw print charm with his dog’s name on it as well as his birth & death month stones that is attached to my bouquet

We would LOVE to have our Boxer girl (she’s 2 1/2 yo) at our wedding (thought about making her the ring bearer) but we’re getting married in a church and we’re afraid she’ll be constanty trying to get to us during the ceremony πŸ™ A friend suggested having her available for the wedding pics afterwards.  The posts above about how your dogs have behaved tremendously well are encouraging!

I’m so glad I’m not the only person crazy about my furbabies!! DH’s family aren’t really animal people and I feel judged sometimes because I love my babies so much! I would’ve LOVED for my westie to be in the wedding photos but the wedding was about an hour from home and not pet friendly πŸ™

I would like to have our dog as the ring bearer. We just signed up for some obedience classes, so depending on his progress by the wedding he may or may not get to attend.

My plan (FI is still on the fence) is that our little corgi will be ring bearer. I have the vision of her waiting at the back with one of my brothers or something and then when its ‘time’ my Fiance will call her and she will come trotting down the aisle and present him with the rings!!

Failing that (or as well) we’re going to have a topper that has her on it too πŸ™‚

@Corgi-cariad:  I’ve found some great “custom” cake toppers on Etsy (via Pinterest) where you can incorporate your dog onto the topper. We’re planning on doing that for sure also! πŸ™‚

I also love the obedience school idea. Our Sophie is very well-behaved for a Boxer but she does get excited fairly easily.

@BoxerLady:  Thank you!! He is a Weimaraner, but he is blue, so he’s darker than the silver ones you normally see. We think he’s pretty darn handsome πŸ™‚
