Okay, so I used to dance and perform on stage and am used to wearing false eyelashes, so I thought I would have no problem working with the individual lashes. Well, that was wishful thinking! Those little [email protected] are not fun to work with on yourself!
Since I have just spent an inordinate amount of time on these lashes, I’d like your opinion! Do they look too sparse? Too long? Too fake? It is hard for me to tell, because I normally don’t wear a ton of eye makeup (prefer to play up the lips)
Should I wear them on my wedding day?
1. Looks more natural than strip lashes.
2. Supposedly can stay on for a week or longer.
3. No need for mascara (not supposed to wear it with them, it will rip them out and/or clump). The no mascara thing would be great, because I have terrible smudging when I wear even waterproof makeup because my natural lashes brush my bottom eyelids when I blink and my under-eye area when I smile a lot (I get squinty eyes).
1. Major pain in the @ss to put on… very tedious!
2. At least on my first attempt, some of the adhesive is visible on my lashes when my eyes lowered… and can’t cover it up with mascara.
3. I can’t tell if they look good on me, I need some other ladies’ opinions!
I think that next time I apply them, I will have better luck… I started witht the outside lashes, as the model did in the online video and that was dumb, because they kept getting in the way when I tried to apply the inside ones.
Okay, here are the images:

I like them… But my preference is slightly more fuller since u can’t apply mascara

I think they look nice but you’re really missing out by not having mascara. I think that would have more of an impact than the lashes.

I love individuals, how did you apply them, over the top of you lashes or under?? I got them applied under and they definitely last a long time and are more natural looking and you dont have to be so careful with them. Also the adhesive doesnt matter so much applied under. I agree with PP about a fuller look

I LOVE individual lashes. I’m going to get extensions for my wedding, I think, but I’ve used regular individuals before. I have always worn mascara with them! You do have to be careful and make sure that the brush is loaded with product, because they might catch if its too dry. Next time you put them on, add some mascara and see how they stick!
As a sidenote, I always use waterproof mascara and I do find it to be a bit “dryer” than regular mascara. A more “wet” or natural look mascara might dissolve the glue.

@leecy87: I applied them over my lashes, as the instructions said. I would be nervous about the glue getting in my eyes attempting under!
I am going to try it again soon and put a few more. This is with just 5 individual “bunches” per eye, 2 short and 3 medium length. I think at least 6 would look better.
@bkrocks13: I might try mascara over them in a day or two to see what I think, but that would mean having to remove them that night because I never sleep in eye makeup it makes my eyes irritated. I would rather just add more lashes and not use mascara, since somehow on my eyes even the waterproof stuff smears and gives me racoon eyes within an hour.

@MsBlackberry: Looks great! If you are worried about the adhesive showing on the lashline you can apply a thin layer of either liquid liner, smudge, or even a thin layer of dark shade of eyeshadow (depending on the rest of your make up). I wouldn’t do mascara over them! If anything, you can do a thin layer of mascara and let it dry before adding the lashes, and also do a thin layer of good mascara on your lower lashes.

Oh, if you decide to NOT go with it a great lengthening mascara I just discovered is from Benefit They’re Real – it has those little fibers that extend the length. I like it better than Mac Fiber Rich. I posted a link below, but you can get a sample for only 10 bucks at their counter. Be careful though, I got suckered into like 4 other products while there lol
