We want to have a small ceremony in Los Angeles and are not 100% sure about gambling on the weather in February. Does anyone know of any indoor places where we could do a a small ceremony? The only one I found was the Albertson Chapel but I wanted to have some options to look at. I found an outdoor location I absolutely love so I am debating on just renting heaters and praying for dry weather.

This year was an anomoly in LA when it comes to weather in February/March. However, February is the “rainy” season (usually never rains this much though), so I think an outdoor/indoor venue would be fine. Most of the places we looked at in the LA area were “outdoor” ceremony/reception sites with indoor options. So if you have outdoor wedding dreams, I think you should find somewhere outdoors that offers a great indoor rain plan.

That’s the funny thing about So Cal. We were there at the end of January and I wore t-shirts and sandals and then 3 weeks later, we were down there and it was cold and rainy. I lived in So Cal for college and don’t remember it being that cold. That being said, we are only thinking of doing the ceremony outdoors, we are doing dinner after at a restaurant, so people will be outside for 30 minutes tops, I would think. The company we are thinking of going with for the outdoor ceremony has backup places that they can use indoors but only last minute and only if they’re not booked. It’s a Thursday in Feb, so I think our chances are good, if not, we will just buy a bunch of clear umbrellas and hope for the best! I’m not so much worried about the cold because I will put on the invitation that it is an outdoor ceremony.

Lots of downtown venues have indoor ceremony options. Ones that come to mind off the top of my head:
-Millennium Biltmore Hotel

The Wayfarers Chapel is gorgeous but you have to do reception off site and use their minister. The minister was the deal breaker for me. I wanted someone I know to officiate
