Hi Everyone !
I’m a DIY bride and I am getting married in about 4 months. I am starting to work on my escort card table centerpiece but I am having so much trouble finding an indoor 4 to 5 ft tall cherry blossom tree for rent in NYC. I’ve looked at a few websites but a lot of them only do green plants or dont do flowering trees. Does anyone know where I can rent this in NYC?
I am also would like to make moss runners for my tables. It’s very expensive to have the florist do them and I am having trouble locating a good tutorial on putting one together. Ideally I want the runners to colorful succulents of all sizes with some other flowers as accents. Maybe a birdcage or two. Does anyone know the most cost effective way to pull this off? I’ve looked for faux succulents online but they are more expensive than real ones. I want to make the runners a few days before the wedding so that I can just have someone pick them up and drop them off to the venue.
Sorry i know the post is long. Any help that you can provide me with is very much appreciated.
Tanks so much!

You can get faux cherry blossom branches and wire them to a manzanita tree or any other tree that you can find.
You can buy faux moss runners.

Thank you do much that’s a great idea for the tree. Do you know offhand where I can find realistic looking faux cherry blossoms? Will I have a night restriction with the manzanita?
I’m finding the the moss runners in the stores look so dull and they are flat. I was looking for a runner that is similar to this one
I know I’ll have to add my own flowers and things. I just love the depth on the runner! This is what I was thinking I could do with the birdcages: https://pin.it/snas4onwm4pmmi I haven’t had any luck finding the birdcage or succulents in those colors.
Thanks again for your help!!

First, if you want someone to know you have responded, you have to click on reply at the end of their post.
Second, I have no idea what a “night restriction” is re the manzanita tree. Do you mean “height restriction”? I have no idea what your venue will allow or not allow. You will have to ask them. You can use any sort of tree for a base to which to wire the faux branches.
Another alterative would be to just buy long branches and place them in a tall Eiffel Tower vase.
As for the moss runner, the one in your pic looks like it was made with fresh sheet moss. You can buy bags from the florist or online. The thing is, they really can’t be made ahead of time unless you glue it to a base, like a roll of cardboard or corrugated plastic.

Just a warning: real moss will dry up instantly, definitely in a day, so it’s incredibly risky and difficult to prepare days in advance unless you can figure out how to keep it constantly wet… I’d definitely choose a faux option, even if looks less great. Good luck!
