We’re getting married in April (next year), but I’m trying to think ahead and plan for the possibility of rain – or snow, given how this year is going! I’ve brainstormed some of the obvious ones and I’m sure our photographer will have some suggestions, but I’m looking for any other ideas. We’re having the ceremony and reception at Lago on Dow’s Lake and live/are staying downtown, so would have to be fairly central. Any thoughts besides what I’ve listed below?
National Art Gallery
Museum of Nature
Bank of Canada
Convention Centre
Hotel (Chateau Laurier, Westin) – however, I think we can only shoot at Chateau Laurier if we have our wedding booked there

The Art Gallery charges a hefty fee for taking pictures there if you’re not getting married there (over a hundred dollars) We ended up going to the Museum of Civilization. They do charge $25 (I think), but that covers your entire wedding party, and you can shoot throughout the museum. The weather ended up cooperating, so we shot ours outside, and didn’t have to pay anyways, but it was nice to know we had the backup location if needed (and our weddings are two years apart almost to the day!)

Thanks for the info about the NAG – I couldn’t find the info anywhere on their website, aside from “contact us”. I think the Museum of Nature does similar to Civilization, except $45.
Happy almost 1 year anniversary!

Medbride.. I’m at Lago too.. In January though. So I’ve been planning for indoor photos before the ceremony too. I’m looking at the War Museum and the Museum of Civilization. Also interested in the Convention Centre. 🙂
We seem to have similar style. haha
