- Wedding: April 2014
Hi all, I’m looking for a venue in Victoria, BC for our April 2014 wedding that can accomodate about 50 people for an indoor ceremony and reception (outside ceremony site would be a nice option but April in Victoria usually means rain). I was hoping for something rustic yet elegant but am having no luck so far.
We have looked at Sea Cidery, which is the venue I had my heart set on, but it’s too small to have the whole event indoors and we don’t like the idea of their tent option (it’s not connected to the building itself and with such a small guest list we’re concerned we’ll end up with little atmosphere if half our guests are indoors dancing and the other half are in the tent visiting after dinner).
We’ve also looked at the websites for:
Villa Marco Polo (the indoor decor seems a bit dated and not really what I was looking for),
The Latch Inn (they haven’t responded to my emails),
The Fireside Grill (too expensive if we want a private event),
Sooke Harbour House (no nice indoor options for April),
The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria (again, no response to emails),
and Church and State Winery (also no feasible indoor options).
Finally, we have also been out to view Olympic View Golf Course, and FH loves it but I recently attended a graduation celebration there so it doesn’t feel like a wedding venue to me (and it has the wrong decor with a carpet I would’ve torn up years ago if I were in charge of the place).
In short, does anyone have any suggestions in the same vein as Sea Cidery but a little bigger?? Any help will be so appreciated!
