Darling Husband and I are excited to go to his cousin’s wedding, but his wardrobe is sorely lacking in anything wedding appropriate. (He’s a t-shirt and jeans guy with a blue collar job, so even his job interviews just call for khakis and a polo.) I’d like to find him an inexpensive suit, but neither of us even knows where to start. He’s very much big & tall (6’3, over 300 lbs) and is self-conscious about his size. Men’s Warehouse fat-shamed him when we were tux-hunting, so they’re a no-go.

Kohl’s! They have a great selection of suits in every size. We got a few for my husband for the last cruise we went on and they looked great on him!

proudgeek : J C Penney has a Big & Tall section and they sell suit separates so it’s easier to find a jacket and pants that match and fit.

My advice is to always buy a size larger suit and have the suit tailored down for a perfect custom fit. As opposed to trying to squeeze into a suit that clearly wasn’t “made” for you . That way you’re getting a custom suit for a fraction of the price. A well cut suit can hide 30lbs!!
As for where to go do you have Destination DXL in your neck of the woods? They only carry larger sizes.

JCP – my fiancé doesn’t fall into the category, but I’m pretty sure J Ferrar (the brand we buy for all of his suit needs) has a B&T line! Really great quality and can’t beat the online sales and coupons. FI’s wedding attire was $70 new (he tried on in store and we bought online to get the sales)

Both Kohl’s and JC Penny ought to carry suits to fit a larger man of 6’3″. Their Longs or Talls should be adequate, and both carry large sizes.
My Darling Husband is 6’8″, and even Long or Tall sizes from standard stores don’t fit him, so I feel your pain!

Jc penny or DXL. Penny’s will probably be less expensive but the selection and customer service at DXL had always been excellent
