What about Toronto? Or you could rent a cottage in Southern Ontario, or even Michigan….

What kind of budget are you looking at and how far are you willing to travel? Just a few ideas off the top of my head are Collingwood (kind of mountainish I guess), Grand Bend (beachy), Tobermory (more outdoorsy), Niagara Falls (“honeymoon capital of the world” and there are always Groupons), and Ottawa (a fair ways from Sarnia but such a beatiful city). If you’re looking at leaving Ontario, I would hop the border and fly out of Detroit to a place in the US. It’s by far my favorite place to travel on a budget (most of our trips are under $1400 for a week for the 2 of us) and there is so much to see there.

JessicaLP:  It really depends how inexpensive you are thinking.  There are some really nice places in northern ontario where you could go to a resort for a few days or even rent a cottage for a week.  Or you could do montreal or ottawa.  If you wanted somewhere a little farther, Fiance and I are going to Chicago for 4 days after the wedding and are hoping to keep it around $1000-$1500 (the cheaper the better, obviously), then we are going away to Jamaica in January.  If you decided on the Chicago route you can take the train from Port Huron like we are.  This is obviously very close for you, and we are from the London area so not far for us either.  If you are looking for somewhere all inclusive and down south, look at Cuba.  I never thought I would consider it but have heard REALLY great things lately.  Look at the resorts in Cayo Santa Maria – you can travel sometimes for less than $1000 per person all inclusive!
