Hi there,
Just got engaged to the love of my life & we were looking at venues online but all seemed to be completely out of our price rang.
I am from southern Cali & my fiance is from Eugen, OR so we were thinking somewhere in the middle so all of our family can make it.
I am looking for THE MOST INEXPENSIVE venue possible for a Summer 2016 wedding.
I am very laidback and dont need everything to be fancy, but I want it to be nice. I want to have a place where my bridemaids & myself can get ready before the ceremony and have great natural photos taken. What is really important to us for our wedding day is that everyone to be able to dance & have a great time at our reception, with a open bar.
At first I was set on a beach wedding but everyone I found was just too expensie. I was almost even thinking of doing it in a park or middle of the forest or even on camping ground but then there is the question of the recpetion.
What I am looking for:
Venue only $- absolute max 1,100
Guest- 120 to 150
Catering- BYO
Any suggestions would be greatly apprecriated !!!

Most state/local parks will be very reasonable.
Lithia Park in Ashland (just north of the California/Oregon border) is gorgeous and has many areas available to reserve. They offer a wedding package for $1150 which give you the location for the entire day. Ashland is also a cool area to poke around in for anyone coming from out of town. If you Google “Lithia Park Ashland wedding” you’ll find their website and can check out pictures. I personally love this area and would highly recommend it.
Indian Mary park just outside of Grants Pass is a little more basic with no real reception area, but would be much more affordable. I got married there years ago and I think I just paid a park rental fee of like $100.
The University of Oregon in Eugene also has some nice facilities. I don’t know if they do weddings but it’s worth checking out. There are also some vineyards around the Eugene area that may do weddings.

cheyenne.shiell: This is close to Eugene, but it may be what you are looking for!
I think for your number of guests and without alcohol the price for the venue is $1100. (Alcohol special permit use is $125 extra).
