SandyBee23:  Nope. why would I get a set I’d only wear out on occassion?  I got a set that I could hopefully wear for life.  But what kind of work do you do?  I do a lot of administrative office work so it doesn’t affect my ring wearing, but if I did more of what my husband did, I wouldn’t wear my set either.

SandyBee23:  I suggest getting insurance on your ring.  Not to say this means you should wear it to work, but it will ease your mind when you do wear it.

Anyway, I have bands (medical) that I wear.  No stone, but just bands that help me “look married”.  I have a second wedding set, but it is vintage and gold so I would never wear it to work.  I also have a stand-in set from berricle that I wear when I excercise and get dirty.

I work in a school and have run into trouble a time or two (mostly because I do lots of crafts for following directions). I love wearing my ring though. I do have a cheap set that I bought off of Amazon for $10 to wear on my honeymoon.

I love jewelry so it’s not surprising that I have two sets. I like having options to choose from. I don’t plan on getting any more erings, but I would never rule out bands lol! I don’t go overboard with it and most of the jewelry I own has significance – like my second set.

pinkcorsage:  Like you, I don’t get wearing an everyday set and a “special” set.

I got my e-ring and wedding band knowing that I can be rough with it, that I might have to wear gloves (xray tech), and it was my intention to never take it off. There are very few occasions where I have done so. DH and I have been married for 13 years and I have only had to replace a prong once because it caught funny on the infant car seat. I have done all sorts of crafts with my kids and I don’t worry about my ring. Here is a picture of my set…

It’s a Ceylon Sapphire. The color is what really attracted DH and I to it when we looked at rings. I am still in love it! We had the band custom made to fit close because I wasn’t happy with the way stock bands looked with it. DH was jealous that he didn’t have an e-ring so a year after I got mine, he got his. It’s the same color as mine, it just didn’t photograph as bright.

SandyBee23:  I have a moissy stand in ering that was inexpensive, yet it is 14kt. In case of robbery at the store I work in I don’t wear any expensive pieces to be on the safe side. I think a stand in is a smart idea.

SandyBee23:  I have two e-rings, my first e-ring (a small tanzanite ring) and my upgrade. I’m in nursing so I can’t really have huge stones on at work. This ring is perfect for that. I completely understand what you mean about having an ‘everyday’ set instead of wearing the expensive one. For hands on stuff, you don’t want to ruin your rings!
