I was just playing around today and came up with an inexpensive but pretty centerpiece idea – I am doing traditional low centerpieces with an english garden feel in silver bowls and mercury glass votives but just figured these out while playing and thought I would share with someone that could use them
My actual centerpieces are about $130 a piece and I am like ummm why LOL
3 bottles – walmart $5.00
labels – printed at home on inkjet printer
silver plate tray – goodwill – usually I get these for less than $5
mercury glass votives – $2-$4 average
votive candles – less than $1.00 in bulk
Flowers – used less than 1/4 of a bunch at sams for $5 so $1.00
so less than $20
and this is how they came out
I think you could jazz these up with crystal garlands and nicer flowers and still come out fairly cheaply!

Brilliant to print your own tags! That looks gorgeous! I actually bought those same mercury glass votive holders for my original centerpiece idea until our venue started renting them :).

@jo.lee: Thanks I have been collecting them for months now whenever I get them on a good sale – I may sell some after the wedding but I love the look of them clustered on my sideboard and they will be gorgeous scattered everywhere during the holidays – I am a sucker for mercury glass
