Okay so Darling Husband and I are in the market for a new car. Well we honestly just started thinking about it. On our honeymoon we rented a super nice Mustang and Darling Husband hasn’t been able to get it out of his head. We are also TTC right now so I am a little worried about saying yes to the Mustang and not being able to get a carseat in the back. I have my own 4 door car that will not be a problem but he will also need to be able to have the carseat also. Has anyone done this? Is it safe? Would you recommend it?

I’ve had mine since my child was born and have never had a problem with any of the car seats as he grew. The only thing that I would have changed was that four doors is always easier, obviously lol. But it wasn’t enough of a problem for me to ever change my car. Love my Mustang, still have it, and would do it all over again!

JLFinch: I don’t think the infant car seat is as much of a space issue as the toddler car seat. They are monstrous in depth, force the front passenger seat to be moved toward the windshield. I have an SUV and we still find that the space is tight for a toddler seat. BTW, you will likely only use an infant car seat for about 8 months to a year max depending on the size of your child. If you are going to have a 2 door car, I highly recommend the Orbit Baby infant car seat and toddler seat because they rotate which allows you to put the baby or toddler in their seat while the car seat is facing forward and then rotate the seat so that it is rear facing (up until 35 ibs then you have to use the toddler seat without the rotating base). It is truly the best thing ever for loading/unloading. I hope that helps, best wishes!
