@anev:  yes it was a hysteroscopy! The doctor just called. I’m going to start on estrace today. Still a go for the IUI Wednesday. Not sure how much good this estrace will do in three days but hey I guess it’s worth a shot. IUI is free for me so even if my odds aren’t good I’m not throwing money down the drain. I’m honestly thinking at this point IVF will be needed anyway.

@anev:  Oh wow, that’s a big increase! That’s very encouraging. I don’t remember what it was exactly at my last IUI but I want to say 5.6? I don’t believe it’s ever been above 6; it’s usually in the low 5 range. I had raised my concerns about it in previous cycles but my nurse always kind of brushed it off as “oh that’s really only something we look at during IVF cycles.” I’m glad the doctor today took it more seriously and came up with a possible fix!

@anev:  You can add me to the POAS board. We’ll transfer 2 blastos tomorrow (if our 2PN cells made it over the weekend). Beta should be 23/24. That’s a long weekend in my country, so lots of waiting.

I saw a pretty interesting video on thin lining by abbey sharp on youtube, maybe it’s worth checking out.

@anev:  Interesting! If this cycle doesn’t work I will definitely do another one with the estrace. I took it three hours ago and I’m already bloated lol.

@anev:  AF just started today so we’re going forward with egg retrieval, we’re starting meds in 2 days after BW & US, there’s about 8-12 days on meds so it’s looking like ER will be somewhere around May28-31st. I’ll know when it gets closer to the day. ๐Ÿ™‚ so excited to see your FET is on June 4th, woohoo!

@anev:  I’m guessing they’d start the estrace sooner? This is my first time taking it so I’m not sure on the protocol but it would make sense to start earlier than CD12 next time, I’d think. I don’t have another scan before the IUI; they’ll just check it at the IUI at the same time. I asked the doctor about it because if it’s not thicker, what’s the point of an IUI that’s just going to fail? She didn’t really have an answer other than “oh the estrace will thicken it.” argh! So this round might end up being a waste but I also need to do 3-4 IUIs before IVF so I guess we’re just moving toward that.

I’m actually in the US. We are extremely fortunate that our health insurance has really great fertility coverage.

@Cheekie0077: That is so exciting! Good luck with everything. I just wanted to pop in and say hi again as I am expecting AF any day now.  We may be cycle buddies if I get to to do a retrieval cycle this cycle :).

I actually went in for a baseline scan yesterday because my clinic insisted on scheduling me for when I expected Day 2 to be since they are limiting foot traffic and as it turns out AF decided to be later this cycle for the first time in months after I’ve had months of cycles that were the exact same length. I have to go back in for bloodwork and also to retest my prolactin which is apparently a bit high. Hopefully everything goes well and I get to start stims soon!
