anev : I’m still lurking because I technically don’t meet the test yet. But i’m working with an RE and wondering if I recall correctly that you’re in the TO area / Canada?

anev : Yes – formerly downtown TO, but now just west of that (25 mins). My clinic (Create) remains downtown. Did you see either clinic? Thoughts?

anev : Sorry to hear that! What do you have if you don’t mind me asking? I will also have to be on blood thinners from the time of a BFP or transer.

ROLL CALL

I was previously on the infertility boards pretty frequently, but took some time away after my second MC last fall.

Your age/partner’s age: 31/39

Baby #: 1

Cycles TTC: 2.5 years

Usual cycle length: 32-35 days, but since my last MC, it’s all over the place still.

Known fertility issues: Hypothyroidism, elevated homocysteine levels (most likely MTHFR mutation), thin lining, and possible lean PCOS.

Trying anything new this month?: Nothing – debating on whether or not to keep trying while the crisis is going on. We’ve set an IVF point for the fall at our 3 year trying anniversary, but with 2 MCs, we want to try to regulate everything else first.

anev : Well I’m glad they have a plan going forward and you’re finding out more information as you go. I find it so frustrating that it has taken this long in my TTC journey to get these answers and I know you’re in a similar spot! I haven’t been tested for MTHFR – my RE said that he doesn’t really care if you have MTHFR, only if your homocysteine levels are higher and it’s just another out of pocket test, but I may it in the future. He advised me to take baby aspirin after ovulation and then if I got a BFP, we’d start blood thinners right away. My homocystiene did come down, it’s a little higher than normal but lower than it was, and I’m on a pretty high dosage of methylfolate and B vitamins.

anev : Please do – thanks! I did a recurrent loss panel, but I’d be interested to see if there was anything left out since my RE generally does less testing than other ones and I think you and I have some similar issues. I’m taking Metanx for the methyfolate, but it’s definitely expensive and not covered by my insurance, so after my homocysteine stabilizes, I may look at other sources.

Hi everyone. Deciding to roll call this month, since I haven’t had much to do. I’ve been in and out of these boards as there were months when things got too hard to handle.

ROLL CALL

Your age/partner’s age: 32/35

Baby #: 1

Cycles TTC: 3 years

Usual cycle length: 29 – 32

Known fertility issues: unknown

Trying anything new this month?: less stressed out these days which is good, essential oils, trying pre seed once more and just going back to having fun while having sex! We had 2 failed IUI’s and it’s so frustrating considering that “technically,” we shouldn’t have any problems conceiving, but here we are!

anev : I’m always up for a miracle, whether it’s for me or one of the other bees who had to put their plans on hold!
