@candy08:  Thank you! Yes, my heating pad is my best friend. I will not miss the mess that Endometrin has made of my panties and shorts, even with panty liners!

@zstbee84:  Congrats on 4 embryos! I understand wanting to try for another retrieval given your history, but that’s still a great number to get from one retrieval. Hopefully the first or second one works and then you can freeze the remaining ones.

@DogsAndWine:  I’m sorry you’re not getting any more info on this cycle. I hope you can start again soon and get some good info from your doctor about what’s going on.

@Cheekie0077:  I hope you get better results with this retrieval!

@ladyvictoria:  Congrats on a successful transfer and your beautiful embryo! I can’t wait to hear how your betas turn out and I hope this works for you after you had to stall for so long.

@KittyYogi:  I wish you luck in choosing your clinic. I don’t have any advice as there’s only one good clinic in my area and given our needs we weren’t looking at success rates since we originally assumed IUI would work.

Afm, my cycle finally started so I’m about to start birth control for 2-3 weeks while they figure out my protocol. We also know that they will be implanting the female embryo first so we’re getting excited about the idea of a little girl. I’m trying to convince my husband to start planning and talking through some ideas, but he’s reluctant since he doesn’t want to jinx us. I get where he’s coming from but I don’t want to pretend like we’re not doing IVF until I actually get pregnant. I also started a journal about our journey so far and things I’m looking forward to to help stay positive, which I definitely need right now.

@anev:  I got the grades and I find them somewhat confusing, and I guess each clinic grades differently, but I got nothing with an “A” in it so I guess I have no excellent ones, mostly average and one not great one which they would be willing to transfer at some point but doesn’t have a great chance of success (my RE gave that one only a 20% chance of leading to a live birth). I had no idea the grading and success rates could vary so much on normal embryos but honestly never really put much thought into it. I am leaning toward doing a transfer rather than doing another retrieval at this stage.

@piscesinsc:  Thank you so much, and best of luck to you as you get started! I think men can be very funny about all of this. Sometimes my husband and I are so far from being on the same page about our feelings even though we want the same things. I’m still working on not taking it perdonally. Journaling definitely helps me so it’s great that you’re doing that. Plus it’s nice to have something to look back on to see how far you’ve come and how much you’ve grown.

@ladyvictoria:  You definitely should!  Yep.  I transferred two embryos and both stuck and now I have wild 9 month olds laughing

Went in today for a follow up ultrasound and bloodwork. I apparently did ovulate at some point between CD14 and CD25 (today). I have a post-o cyst and my progesterone is elevated. It’s really odd because I temp religiously and have had no rise. Weird right? User error on my part I guess, though I’m certainly not new to temping and have ALWAYS seen a post-o rise.

Anyway, luckily our timing has been good for the past two weeks or so. Soooo I’m in the TWW but don’t know how far. I also chatted with the nurse and if I am not pregnant this month, I’ll be making my IVF consult appointment when I call on CD1.

@anev:  What are we going to do without you on the infertility boards as you move on to the pregnancy boards?!? You are such a wealth of knowledge! And yeah our timing was good, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed.

@anev:  Thanks 🙂

I hope someone is interested in creating a July Infertility POAS thread. I can’t commit to it but I’ll certainly hang out since my first beta is on 7/7. I hope that’s lucky.

I’m having a terrible couple of days. I got a BFP yesterday morning at what I thought was 3DPO. Obviously this is impossible which means that what I thought had been my period was something else. My last true period was 11th of May. I’m trying not to freak out too much but this definitely feels bad. I called my local doctors office who said they’re doing telephone appointments but not for new patients. I haven’t seen my old IVF doctor since last October when I had a failed FET. I am in the process of transferring clinics but haven’t had an appointment there yet either. In my state I would need to renew my referral at a GP if I wanted to go to my old clinic again, which I can’t do.

Ok deep breaths. All I can think is ectopic or something equally awful and I have no idea what to do. I haven’t told my husband because after so many losses I feel like I just can’t stand him hurting too. Uhh I hope I don’t sound unhinged. Any advice would be appreciated.
