@Rosie Girl:  That’s crazy!  I of course immediately started measuring my fingers and sure enough, my pointer finger is in fact shorter than my ring finger!

The year of fun continues with a Katy Perry Concert tonight (I have admittedly awful taste in music)!  If I had gotten pregnant when I wanted to, I wouldn’t be able to go b/c I’d be hugely pregnant or already have a baby.  While, yes, the baby would be better, the year of fun is about celebrating what I can do while still childless! I also booked our plane tix to San Francisco for September!  (I really should be keeping up w/ my blog and blogging about all of this!)

@MerryC: I hope you feel better soon!

I woke up sad this morning because I had a dream right before I woke up that I gave birth to a baby boy, he had dark hair just like DH, and he was so cute. It was so real, then I woke up and wished I was back asleep.

I also got my order of fertilaid, fertile CM supplements, and preseed today. Hopefully we can get my cycles going soon after my doctors appointment, and now I feel ready to throw everything we have at this TTC thing.

@Rosie Girl: I of coure as the others looked at the difference between the 2 fingers and my ring finger is shorter than my pointer so maybe they have a point, since I don’t have PCOS….but now my fingers look weird because I’ve been staring at them too long:)

Well, girls….it has been a long, long day and I’ve been really bitchy!!!  AF arrived yesterday, only about a week late!!! Wish she would get on board and get on time, but at least she showed again on her own.  It’s very light, but still it is something!!

@Sacbride: I’m concerned too about no ultrasound monitoring with a possible IUI. That’s a pretty expensive procedure and timing with it has to be pretty precise as far as injecting at the closest time to ovulation. I understand every doctor is different but it is pretty common for US to be a part of the process. I actually stopped OPKs with my IUIs bc of the follicle checks on CD12. I would just hate for you to not get a + opk but actually ovulate and miss a chance. @Sweetkate: Hope your IUI went well today! @Rosie: If it’s a constant issue to for you, you could try a probiotic such as Align. It is really helpful, just kinda costly. It’s a once a day dose but it does help regulate you and keep you that way. I used it for about a year.

Good luck to everyone in the TWW!!!

Me… I just wish I could get over whatever is making my stomach do flips when I eat or drink certain things.  I was just fine last night, until I had a small glass of wine!  Then…. I was pretty miserable πŸ™  Feel asleep on my FI’s side of the bed and snuggled up with him when he came to bed.

I swear I’d think I were pregnant IF I hadn’t just had my period!!!!!

@sacbride10: I missed my chance at the IUI two months ago because I ovulated earlier on Clomid, than without. (Normally ovulate Day 14 but with both months on CLomid it was Day 12) I would just cover every other day starting tomorrow or at least once or twice, just to be on the safe side. That is what we did! I hope you have lots of good follies and that the IUI is a success!!!!! Hope your mom is doing better!

@Ms Mini: I’ve been having dreams lately about babies, me having a baby, etc. So sorry. πŸ™  It is awful, I know!

@sweetkate: Yay! So glad the IUI went well! Fingers crossed for you!!!

Countdown to surgery-one day!!

Sorry I’ve been absent for a week. I’ve been pretty down and trying to deal with my thoughts on my upcoming surgery. I went thru an “angry stage” this past week. Angry at all that has gone wrong in the last year. All the surgeries, procedures, horrible meds, the painful cysts FROM the horrible meds and now my surgery tomorrow. I’m just so bitter about all of this. Why does this happen to those of us who REALLY WANT a baby?! I just keep saying to my husband every night, “It’s not fair!!!” I’m sure I sound like a child, but I just can’t help it sometimes. He’s wondeful, though. So supportive and caring. I love him so much.

Anyway, tomorrow is my big day. I’ll find out this afternoon what time to go to the hospital. I’m hoping it is first thing so I have less time to worry/think about it. I saw my doc last Thursday and he doesn’t think he should have to take my ovary, but he mentioned again that if the tube is damaged from the cysts or my surgery last November, that he’ll have to remove it. πŸ™ That would mean IVF is our only option.

My husband and I flat out told him we don’t have the money for IVF right now (we could somehow do it, but we don’t want him to know that) so that he knows I want/need my left ovary and tube! Anyway, please cross your fingers for me that he only removes the cyst!!

Good luck to all of you in the TWW. We need some good news on here. I’m pulling for all of you!!!!

@Jenn23:  We will all be thinking of you tomorrow and wishing you the best!  If you are too sore to update us, then you will have to teach your hubs to log in!  πŸ™‚  But I hope it all turns out to be quickier, easier, less painful, and more successful then we could ever imagine!

So I am mid-TWW and I don’t feel like it at all because I am just not thinking about it.  I am not wondering about any symptoms.  I actually joined weight watchers yesterday on a monthly pass, so I will have some disappointment if I have to quit!!  πŸ™‚

My plan is to lose a total of 18 lbs.  At that point I will be comfortably in my healthy weight range with some flex space!!

I can’t believe how much food you HAVE to eat on weight watchers and I am wondering how the heck this could work!  I need 29 points per day on their new program.  Yesterday I ate like a maniac and still had 4 points left by midnight!  Plus in addition to your points, you need 5 servings of veggies or fruit and they don’t count as any points.  So that’s more food!!  I only could manage 3 servings of those because I was so full.  I need to find out which is worse, not meeting your target, or not getting all the veggie servings.  They say that if you don’t meet your daily target then it won’t work, but I am asking anyways.

I will update everyone on my weight loss journey!  I told DH that if I was skinny and not pregnant by the end of the summer, I want to go on a cruise in October!

@Jenn23: Will be thinking about you tomorrow and praying for wisdom and skill for the doctors, peace and healing for you, and that the outcome leaves you with as many options as possible for conceiving.  It really isn’t fair, and you have every right to bed upset, but hopefully this is the last setback, and it’s only up from here.

@heathaah: Glad you are able to be distracted from the TWW, it goes by so much faster that way.  And good luck with WW – I’ve known a lot of people to have success with their program.  Filling up on fruits and veggies always helps me lose weight because I’m eating less other stuff – but it sounds like you have to eat a lot in general!

Feeling lots better today.  Thanks for the well wishes. So far no crazy side effects from mixing the prilosec with my femara – I’ll let you know if I start growing a third arm or something πŸ™‚

@MerryC: hehehehe, a third arm would be REALLY useful… especially when you have a baby! πŸ˜‰  (also could come in hand at other times, too! πŸ˜‰ )

@Jenn23: good luck with the surgery!  I’m rooting for only a cyst removal! πŸ™‚

@heathaah: I have no clue how that works, but yay for being able to eat!!!!  I have some co-workers who are on Weight Watchers, though… I think I’ve heard one saying the same thing…

I just saw a story on Good Morning America about a clinical trial doing uterine transplants.  They were profiling a mother and daughter where the 50-some year old mom was hoping to give her uterus to her daughter who was born w/o reproductive organs.  I wonder if they can transplant the tubes and ovaries too, or if they’d be using donor eggs and IVF to try to get pregnant.  Interesting!
