@Sunshine1810:  Sorry. CD1 is always such a bummer! I’ll be crossing my fingers for your DH’s SA results.

@squeak35:  Sounds like you’re taking a month off to see if TCM/acu will help? Good luck this month! I’ve heard such good things about it. If I could figure out a way for us to afford it — and/or a way to convince my husband that it’s not a waste of money, I would be all for it.

@vintage2010:  So glad your results are looking good! Praying for a sticky baby and healthy pregnancy for you. <3

So, I have some questions for those of you who have done IUI:

1. How big were your follies before LH surge/trigger?

2. How long after your LH surge or trigger shot did you have your IUI?

So, I know that I’ve been MIA for a while, posting-wise, but I promise I’ve been keeping up with everyone!  Despite how great the condolances felt after our failed IVF cycle, I just couldn’t take having that happen again, because each “I’m so sorry” was just another reminder that it didn’t work (I know that’s totally weird).  Anyway, I wanted to update-

We did a frozen embryo transfer on 3/15, transferring 2 6-day embryos.  The cycle came very close to getting cancelled because I was doing a natural FET so I didn’t take any meds, thus ovulated REALLY late.  During an FET, they tranfer the embryos however many days old they are past ovulation (3 day embryos get transferred 3DPO, 5 days old embryos get 5DPO, etc).  The thing is, my doctor said that ovulating too late makes the lining not as hospitable to the embryos, so if I ovulated after day 16, then they were going to cancel the cycle.  As luck would have it, I JUST made it under the time limit.

Anyway, I had my first beta yesterday, and it came back as 283, so I’m pregnant!  I go in again tomorrow for another beta, so we’ll see what the numbers are doing, but my nurse said 283 is a really good number, so she’s feeling confident.  I just wanted to let you guys know because I know that there are many people that are heading down the IVF road, and I wanted to let you know that I will totally be there if you have any questions either about IVF or FETs.

Again, sorry I disappeared…  Much love to you all!

@meganmp1:  Congratulations!  I (as the stalker that I am) asked a page or two back if anyone had heard from you since your unsuccessful IVF cycle so when I saw you had posted, I had to come see!

Congratulations again and sticky baby dust to you!

@squeak35:  Wow, what an interesting first visit you had! I’m glad you got some answers. I can’t imagine having to give up dairy or wine, but you can do it! I haven’t had wine now in 3 months and I’m OK. ๐Ÿ™‚ Good luck! I hope you find it more relaxing the next time. I stopped going a few weeks back, but always felt so relaxed and could barely get up when it was over. haha

@Sunshine1810:  I’m sorry AF came. ๐Ÿ™  Yes, as scary as it is, it is best to find out if anything is wrong. Hopefully there isn’t, though! Fingers crossed for his test!!

@Sunshine1810:  sorry to hear about AF…doesn’t she know she’s not welcomed? I was terrified with the SA as well, but at the end, I’m glad we got it done. Now at least we know what we’re up against.

@meganmp1: Congrats!! I hope you have a sticky baby!

Pelvic ultrasound is scheduled today. Quite nervous…not sure what to expect. My doc gave me some muscle relaxers because I tense up really bad during pap smears, and I’m sure I will today if they do a transvaginal ultrasound. Can’t wait for this day to be over!

@Sunshine1810:  i’m sorry about AF ๐Ÿ™ it’s hard not to be anxious about the SA, but the odds are in your favor. and remember, even if the results aren’t perfect, the right diet and vitamin regimen can make a big difference. ::hugs::

@meganmp1:  That is SOO great to hear!  I totally get it about not even being able to read sympathy posts.  It’s nice to hear the your first FET worked too (I’m doing my first fresh very very soon…arg…and I don’t want to put too much pressure on it.)

So, we got DH’s results back already!!  And, they were better than expected, but still not great.  Here’s what we got:
Count (conc): 9 million/ml
Total Sperm Count: 17.1 million
Motility: 78%
percent rapid progressive motility: 78%
rate of forward progression: 3+
motile sperm count (conc): 7 million/ml
round cells: <1 million (is this morphology?)

So, everything other than the count is good.  But, seeing as his doctor told us to expect none, I’d say this is pretty good news!

@Candy_Nee:  glad to hear they were better than expected!!! Must be such a relief to see this after hearing the doc to say expect none!! Your DH’s SA makes me hopeful that my DH’s SA can improve too with treatment ๐Ÿ™‚

@Candy_Nee:  That’s great news!  I think round is different than morphology. I think it’s a different kind of cell.   Morphology is typicall a percentage.

@meganmp1:  Congrats!!!  Another graduate.  Sending lots of baby dust for your sticky baby.  I do have a question: How did you feel going natural?  I’m trying to figure out now if IVF fails, what is next?

@Sunshine1810:  Sorry about AF.  She’s such a B….

@bunny:  My HSG last week wasn’t as easy as the first one so I really wasn’t in the mood.  So, it was an automatic month off.  I realize now that I needed the break to regroup.   DH isn’t all into Acupunture as well but he knows I’m determined to have our family.  Plus if we don’t have to go the ART route, DH is soo trying to buy an engine w/ the $$$.  He is soo delusional cause we’re buying a house and me a new car.LOL
