Well I had my injection class today for IUI.  I will be doing two shots Orvidel Trigger and Gonal-F along with Clomid to induce ovulation. Class did not go well I managed to mess up. I stuck my finger with the mixing needle while trying to re-constitute the Gonal-F, so I was bleeding like a stuck pig. It made it difficult to try and do the practice run. they did allow me a second practice run, but I’m still scared about doing it right, as I shot some of the med out of the needle while trying to draw up the meds. Ugh I hope I can do it correctly when it counts.

@kayakgirl73:  You poor thing! My needle classes are on April 12th and I’m already imagining all the ways I’ll stuff it up. 😉 I’m sure you’ll be just fine for the real deal!

@Candy_Nee:  Eee! That’s great news! I think the surgery did the trick and you will be pregnant in no time. So are you “allowed” to try now?!!! 🙂

@kayakgirl73:  Oh my. I’m so sorry you had trouble at the class. Totally normal! My DH and I took a LONG time mixing up the injections the first night. I think it took us like 30 minutes! (Within 4-5 days we were down to 10 minutes) Just take your time, go slowly, breathe!!! and I bet you’ll be OK. Is your DH going to be involved? My DH did all the injections. He’s steadier and better at it than me! I sanitized the counter, the vials and paced the kitchen while he mixed the meds! lol

You and Jag will be fine with the injections!!! Promise!!

Just want to tell you ladies that I appreciate all of your support during my ttc time. It means the world to me!! http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/thanks-bees-2

@Jenn23:  My DH came to the class with me and will probably be able to help mix. I don’t think that part bothered him at all. He doesn’t seem to want to give me the actual shots, but I think I can do it. Luckily everything is sub-Q at the moment and not the tougher IM stuff.

@jaguar:  Good luck it was good to get to see and look at the stuff and try it out. I picked up some tips. I think I would have been fine if I hadn’t stuck myself in the index finger opening the mixing needle which is far bigger than the shot needle.

@meganmp1:  AHHHH! YAY!!!! I was hoping we’d hear from you soon, and this is so fantastic!  I’ve read about so many people that are successful with FET because your body has so many less meds floating around than the fresh cycle.  Congrats Mama!

Um, holy crap you guys.  I just got an email from my RE saying that we only need 3 million motile to move forward and we have SEVEN!  This is actually real and happening.  I’m calling this morning to schedule a quick visit with him to set a plan in place and then scheduling my injections class.   I just can’t believe that after all this it’s actually go time.  Yikes!

@kayakgirl73:  Right now I’m hoping to just be able to do injectables without IUI.  But, if need be, we will do IUI.

Thanks for the excitement girls! I”m so excited.  I was able to get in for a quick consult to get a game plan this Thursday!

@Candy_Nee:  Will you still monitor with an ultrasound even though you aren’t doing an IUI? Just to see how many follies you’ll have? And then do you do a trigger shot or just use the ovulation tests? I’m so excited for you!! That’s great you can get in on Thursday for a consult!

@Jenn23:  I want to say we’ll still do the ultrasounds and everything to monitor the follies.  And definitely the trigger.  It seems sort of like it’ll be just like IUI but without the actual IUI part of it.  If that makes sense…
