@Candy_Nee:  OK, that sounds like a great plan. I’m so excited for you!! Where are you in your cycle? Can you start the injectibles soon? I hope so.

@Jenn23:  I’m on day like 37 or something from my last cycle.  I’m assuming they’ll have to give me provera or BCP to kick start this cycle and start as that being day one.  I’d honestly like to do the provera just so we can get started rather than waiting the month for the BCP.

@Candy_Nee:  Good luck, hopefully you can get to CD1 soon.  So your doing just injectibles? I’m doing Clomid and Gonal-F than triggering and the IUI. Have you done an injection class yet? Mine was yesterday. I’m more worried about the prep of the shots I think than the actual shots. I’m dreading the Clomid as I’m on double the dose I was on last time and that week was no fun, actually the whole cycle sucked.

@kayakgirl73:  I’m not sure if we’ll do injectibles alone or with clomid.  I”m hoping to have a full game plan all set on Thursday.  I haven’t had my class yet but am hoping to get that scheduled ASAP.  What’s the prep on the shots?!   I’m hoping to be able to use follistim so that I just have to click the dial.  Anything else I think will freak me out!

@Candy_Nee:  That is so wonderful!  I hope that you get to start on the Provera soon and get this show on the road:)

@kayakgirl73:  Don’t worry about prepping things, it will be FINE, I promise!  Just go slow and take your time, and things will work out perfectly!  Also, I found that my Clomid experience was actually worse when I was on a lower dose than a higher one- go figure, eh?

@everyone- thank you!  I’m just waiting for my second beta today (and freaking out, of course).  I’ll be hanging out a bit here and on the new IVF board (Thanks Mrs. Green Grass!) for any and all IVF help needed:)

@Candy_Nee:  I have Gonal-F which comes in a powder form in the vial. I have a prefilled syringe of saline to inject into the the powder vial. The prep basically involves switching around some needles and drawing the medicine up. I think if I hadn’t poked my finger and been rushing to keep up with the demo I would have been fine, I hope. My come keeps saying it’s easy, but she’s been a nurse for over 40 years. I think I should be just fine, if I go slow have my picture chart out and have the laptop had with the teaching video.

@Candy_Nee:  Such wonderful news! Can’t wait until you’re on CD1 and the ball gets rolling!!!

I’m just hanging around… not much to say. Tomorrow is our first meds appointment for Synarel. Did any North American bees who did IVF use a nasal spray? We opted for this instead of the injectables because it’s like $500 cheaper!

@meganmp1:  Congrats!!

So it has now been over a week since my first blood test to check my thyroid and DH went yesterday for his SA.  How long did it take for you to hear back about various test results? I can’t decide if I should bug my doctor today or wait a bit longer.

@Piccateer:  They probably have your results back. No harm in calling the office! ๐Ÿ™‚ You can also request that a paper copy of the results be sent to your home address so you can keep it for reference. Usually those tests take about a week in my area.

@Piccateer:  The blood test results came back after 1 day, and the SA came back after 1-2 days I believe. All the results were available online. I’m in Canada, not sure if that makes a difference! Fingers crossed for good results ๐Ÿ™‚

@Piccateer:  My results have almost always been same day.  Heck, with DH’s recent SA we had them an hour later.  They are great in that they even email them to me!

Sat in a waiting room with about 20 other women in various stages of IVF. It’s eye opening just how many people must go through it.. that we just don’t know about.
