If anyone has any questions about injectables let me know. I made IV’s in the pharmacy for 7 years haha.

I had my appt with the RE today! I’m moving to injectables and starting with Bravelle 113 iu nightly days CD 3-8. I go in CD 3 and CD 8. He said the goal of the injectables is to have 4 dominiant follicles so maybe I’ll get quads haha. So excited. Hopefully AF will be here in 2 weeks and then I can start! eeekkkkkkkkkkkkk

hope everyone is doing good!

@missmegan11:   Thanks for offering Advice for Injectibles.  Don’t even mention high order multiples. I’m freaked about multiples.

@jaguar:  I know, it seems like you slowly find out that more and more folks have had trouble. So sad that so many women want babies and are unable to have them, yet so many druggies and 16 year olds get knocked up.

Update — Cross posted from the 6 months & up thread

Well, no miracle post HSG conception for me.  AF is on her way started spotting late last night, so I’m just waiting for full flow to call my nurse to start my IUI cycle. Not looking forward to monitoring on the weekend perhaps as the clinic will likely be a zoo. Also not looking forward to Clomid at all and to top it off my boss is out next week on vacation so work will be extra stressful.

Also IUI monitoring and actual IUI timing might keep us from visiting my family for Easter which stinks because we spent last Easter with his family. I look his family but things are different and every has to be at his elderly grandparents house and although they speak English they really don’t bother much anymore so most conversation is in a language I don’t speak.  My family also lives out in the country and I need to get out of the city/burbs everyso often or I feel stifled.

I hate that my stupid broken body is ruling my life.

@missmegan11:  It sounds like I’m not much behind you and on the same track.  Or, are you doing IVF?  I can’t keep track!

Just got back from my RE and we got the go ahead to start!!!!!  I start BCP tonight (for about 2 weeks) then take my injections class on Tuesday.  He’s starting me on 75 of Menpur (or however you spell it) and we’ll go from there.  Because I have such a high AMH he said he’s worried about overstimulating me and freaked my husband out about triplets.

I’m a little bummed that the success rate of the injectables is only 10%.  But, if my insurance coveres 2 – 3 cycles why not?!

My clinic does an egg donation program and he told me that if I do that, the first 6 are mine and IVF will only be 3-4k!!!!!!  I’m a little overweight so I don’t qualify right now, but will after some weight loss.  So, my diet starts right after I eat my sub!  πŸ™‚

@jaguar:  I have at least 4-5 women here at work that have all undergone IVF to have a baby out of about 40 women in the office. There’s a lot of us! πŸ™‚

@missmegan11:  Good luck with the Bravelle. That’s what I used for IVF. I’m excited for you!

@kayakgirl73:  Sorry you may not be able to see your family for Easter. That really stinks. πŸ™  But I hope this IUI cycle is the one!!

@JaneyD:  Yeah, I was shocked!  If the average lady walked in off the street to donate she’d only get $3000 (which is a lot, but not as much as IVF.  You know what I mean).  They said they’d do it like a donation cycle, but let you keep the first 6 eggs and then discount IVF.

@Candy_Nee:  I’m not doing IVF yet and my insurance doesnt cover it. I’m 24, and my RE doesnt think I’m quite there yet. My insurance covers 6 IUI’s so we are doing that first. haha. I have no issues, and DH’s sperm count has gone up from 1 million to 62 million (normal range) so he said to give it a few more months. And thats crazy about the egg donation, I’ll have to look into that!

@Jenn23:  what was your dosing on Bravelle. He prescribed me 113 iu days 3-7, with my u/s on day 8 so they may increase it or decrease it depending on my response. And how many eggs did you get? I only want 4 good ones which is what they aim for, if I have to many, they will have to cancel the cycle. πŸ™ WAH.

I would LOVE triplets. My DH would freak, but I’m secretly hoping we get triplets then I can be done all at once. I know i know, you may think I’m crazy, but I always wanted a big family, and this has taken over 2 years as of now and a lot of money!

@kayakgirl73:  It sucks. I still get bitter after all this time of trying and having no luck – you’d think I would learn to just accept the fact that nearly everyone else around me is a Fertile Myrtle. It still hurts though. Every time.

@Candy_Nee:  That’s interesting! So you essentially will be donating whatever eggs are retrieved AFTER your first 6? That’s pretty cool, if you’re ok with the donation thing. Definitely something to think about!

@Jenn23:  I found out that my current supervisor went through 3 cycles (3 MCs so stopped trying then) and my OLD boss at a previous workplace had her second son through IVF. I thought she had both of her kids naturally – just shows you how wrong I was! πŸ˜‰

Does someone want to start a new one so I can close this one? I would start a new one but I have no idea what roman number it would be. Darn Romans!
