Been quiet around here recently.  I hope everybody is doing well.

I got a positive on an OPK on the 15th, so I’m solidly in the TWW.  It’s killing me!!  I have POAS multiple times in the last week (very impatient, I am) all with BFNs.  My coworker asked me if I felt pregnant.  Considering I’ve never been pregnant, how would I know?!  Anyways, the only possible symptom I’m having is extreme low back pain.  Extreme in intensity I mean, though it is really low on my back.  I’m used to having lumbar back pain (I sit in desk chairs waaay too much for one of my jobs), but this is south of that pain.  Plus my hips and sometimes other joints in my legs will hurt.  FX this is a good sign, but I’ve been told that Clomid can cause joint pains as well.  Anybody else have Clomid joint pains?

Fingers crossed for you @mareundarum: !  It kind of seems like it’s been just you and I lately.  I’ve not been on clomid, so I don’t have an answer for you, but I’m hoping for good things for you when you test!  I’m a poas-aholic too, so no worries there.  ๐Ÿ˜›

I’m starting to get excited because I’ll be able to go back to active ttc in less then 2 weeks!!

@dodgercpkl:  Woohoo!  So I take it the surgery went well?  And no extreme complications because of the BC?

@mareundarum:  ๐Ÿ™‚  Yeah the surgery went well, and no complications with the BC.  The recovery has been a bit techy here and there, but over all it’s going well.  The pics from the hysteroscopy are pretty crazy!

I wanted to resurrect this thread for a moment just to share a website I found recently http://randihutterepstein.com/

It’s an author who writes a lot about issues related to infertility.  She has a web newsletter you can sign up for.  I’m not the author, nor are we related, etc.  I just appreciated it because it brings light to an issue that is too often not discussed.  She also has a blog on The Huffington Post.

(p.s. – I don’t know if this post violates any WB rules…my apologies if so…it can be removed as needed!)

So frustrated right now.  I ended up having a BFN last cycle, though I never did cycle on my own and had to take Provera to restart.  AF started on the 12th, last three days.  Had to start on Aygestin in order to delay my lining from doing anything, and started Menopur on Wednesday.  One vial of Menopur (75 iu) for five days.  I just had my estradiol level drawn today, and it was 25.  Just, 25.  What the h-e-double hockey sticks ovaries?!  So starting tonight I have to double up on the Menopur, so now I’ll really feel like a drug addict with my injections.  I was secretly hoping that maybe, just maybe, I would have a BFP in time for a Christmas present for my husband.  Now I’m just trying not to get too discouraged.

@mareundarum:  I was just reading up on this thread and wanted to give you a hug!  We are probably moving to injectables next cycle and Menopur is the med my RE mentioned using.  I am hoping the increased dose is leading to good things.  I would love any info you may want to share about your experience with injectables.  Good luck!

Well, we moved from one vial to two vials to three to four over the weekend.  My levels on Friday were a bit over 100 (don’t remember what it was now) and then jumped to well over 1000 by Monday.  Of course, we were on four vials, but still!!  Went to the doc on Tuesday, and he counted seven or eight large follicles, all on the right side.  And a few on the left.  He didn’t feel confortable triggering for timed intercourse, and cancelled the cycle.  There goes my Christmas wish.  Now we’re looking at surgery on my ovaries to make them respond (I think it’s ovarian drilling, but I’m not sure) or IVF.  Le sigh.

@mareundarum:  I’m so sorry. We talked about ovarian drilling, but our RE didn’t think it was necessary. I don’t know much more about it. <3 *hugs*

Hi everybody, whoever is still out there.  I know there hasn’t been much (if any) activity on this board in a long while.  I hope that’s because everybody is getting good news.

I didn’t get my Christmas wish, and gave my ovaries notice that they better help me get pregnant by the time I was 30.  I figured a year was enough time.  ๐Ÿ™‚

After Christmas the RE tried a different regimen, which I affectionately dubbed the Kitchen Sink method.  We did combinations of all sorts of medication, including adding dexamethasone and injectibles to the oral meds.  And come to find out, I was ovulating!  At the same time, we were notified that we could move from the August IVF date to April.  April!  So we moved up on the list, still triggered and did timed intercourse.  Unfortunately, I got a BFN right before the orientation for IVF.  So we continued on that path.

Wednesday was ER.  Now I’m waiting to hear from RE to find out whether we’re doing a 3dt (tomorrow) or 5dt (Monday).  Fingers crossed!  Please be a sticky baby.
