In the push to get the invites out by April Fools Days, I’ve begun my stamping process. Love my stamp choice, not too enthused over the ink pad. I’m using the Craft Smart Dye Based Quick-dry in black, but I feel like it looks a little faded and washed out. Anyone have a recommendation for a pad with a little more oomph?
FYI here are the invites so far! After the stamping (and drying) I’ll be adding a tulle veil to the girl bird and a felt top hat to the boy on the invite (leaving the directions card as is. Our monogram (the same tree as pictures with our initials) is on the back of each piece and the RSVP postcard. Wiill post some photos once it’s all done.

Yes, I was using one last night, I think Color box is the brand, it’s for embossing but you can use it normally as well. Mine is silver and I thought all ink pads were the same until I tried to buy a replacement while at my parents house and went with a different brand. I literally had to redo the stuff I stamped with the other pad because the ink was just too faint and even rubbed off after it was dry but I have 2 colors of this color box and both work really well and it is easy to clean off the stamp when I’m finished too!

Thanks! It’s hard to even tell in this picture since I used my phone but the birds almost have a denim-y faded look, especially noticeable in the top hat. I saw kinds that said for embossing so I’ll def have to check out Color Box.

You can apply a bit of heat to speed up the process. Any pigment based pad should stop the faded look.
