I need some advice. Would you be horrified to get an invitation with the inner envelope blank. I wasn’t even going to do an inner envelope because New and Blue doesn’t have outter envelopes with their invitations. But then I felt like I was being tacky because someone may totally rip into the envelope and then have nothing to keep all the invitation information. But is it tacky not to have the guest names on the inner envelope. I feel like it is not a big deal, but wanted to get other invitations. I cannot believe that I am obsessing about this. Thank you in advance!!

Why don’t you want to put the names on the inner envelope? Like you said, that envelope will be used to keep the invite in once they open the outer envelope and after that outer envelope is gone I think it would be nice to still have an envelope with the invited guests names on it.

I wouldnt be horrified, but I would wonder why the names werent on them. It adds more of a personal touch IMO

I was just looking to save some money. Both my finace and I lost our jobs due to the economy. He is employed again, but we have had to scale down. So it was jut a way to save a little money. Sounds like if I do go with an inner envelope, I should address it.

Oh…We’re supposed to put the names on both the inner and the outer envelope??? Man, I’m glad I saw this. Our invitations came with both envelopes and I didn’t know what each is for…Although I still don’t quite get it, why are we writing the names on both again?
Yet more work 🙁
