If I didn’t sit on my phone in bed, I’d probably sleep better..lol

Yipeebee:  I love the night-time, even staying up late into the morning. It’s so quiet and relaxing, I don’t have to worry about replying to people’s emails, getting phone calls, having people knock on the door, or doing work! It’s all me time, whether I want to read, binge on netflix, do some online shopping, journaling, etc.

There are times I regret it the next day because I’m really exhausted, so I only indulge once in a while!

Yes, but it’s my own fault and I know it.  I think there’s a time of night when your body is tired and you *could* go to bed, read from a book a bit (not computer/phone) and fall right asleep.  However your body passes that time and get a second, night-owl wind – YES I can watch 4 episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and browse the internet and not even nod off!

It’s because your body is now too alert, or something.  Passed the point of getting a good night’s rest. So then your mind stresses out when you DO hit the pillow and races.  Just my two cents – not scientific fact or anything.  🙂

I feel you. I’ve struggled with insomnia for decades. Good sleep hygiene helps, but at the end of the day, there are factors beyond your control! I have lots of friends with severe, lifelong insomnia who have had good luck with indica strands of medical marijuana, if that’s a legal option where you are!

I’ve been having trouble sleeping straight through the night as my pregnany is progressing. It’s just so uncomfortable sleeping with a big belly. I feel your pain. And I know it’s not going to get better post baby either but I’m totally looking forward to the baby crying induced insomnia.
