A lot if you count skincare and a primarily organic diet. But I would not count these as monthly expenses. It could range from $20 to a few hundred dollars a month for solely skincare and cosmetics. I spend less for other beauty treatments because I get my hair cut once per year ($60-85), don’t dye my hair, do coconut oil hair treatments, typically do my own nails with zoya or other big 5 free+nail polish, and do not get facials. Shout out to Peter Thomas Roth masks and my Foreo face scrubber. I would never say never about future Botox though…

zoraneale : for eyelashes you can try groupon for local deals!

I do most at home.
A $40 haircut every 4 months.
Do own nails at home, own hair dye.
Don’t need waxing as forked out for laser.
When I buy makeup it is expensive, but a foundation lasts me 6 mths (so about $10 a month)
Don’t get me wrong, I spend heaps of money, but it doesn’t cost a lot to ‘maintain’ myself :/

I get lash extensions every 3 to 4 weeks which costs $65 And a hair cut for $20 every 6 months. I have very long, straight and virgin hair so I get a straight trim across! I also do my own gel nails at home and don’t wear any make up. I did get my brows microbladed about a year ago. I use Egyptian magic as moisturizer and that costs $50 but lasts me 6 months. I only use shampoo, usually tresemme and argan oil afterwards.
So the breakdown monthly:
$65 – lashes, $5 – face moisturizer, $3 – hair cut, $5 – shampoo and hair serum

mrs_mnv : Let’s see that microblading! I have been thinking about investing. Do you recommend it?

Here are mine right after. They are way lighter now and fading a tad bit so I’m planning on getting them redone soon. Sometimes, I’ll pencil them in a little if I go out or something.
Here they are with a little bit of penciling it. Excuse me as I post my face 😂

This thread is pretty funny.
I’d have to say $0 per month. It’s hard to say how often I buy things though.
Shampoo/conditioner – $3 every few months
Cleanser – $19 maybe every 6 months
Toothpaste – $8 every 2 months
Other than that I can’t really think of anything. I cut my own hair so that’s pretty much it I guess.

I have a ticket for tonight’s lottery, so I may be back to update my answer 😀

I spend about $80 every two months on hair, $150 every 6 weeks to wax and about $40 a month on pedicures. Then random makeup and personal hygeine items, of course. Actually, it isn’t that much now that I think about it.

mrs_mnv : Yaaaaaaaas! Love.

I get my hair cut & coloured once every 12-14 weeks, so I’ll say that’s $40 a month
Laser hair removal $49 every 6 weeks right now until it’s gone
Aside from that, I do my own shellac manicures and buy a new nail polish every few months ($7month lol)
I don’t really do much else… my hair and nails are my priority! I guess I’m fairly low maintenance.
I don’t wear makeup daily either. But my skincare stuff isn’t overly cheap… lasts me ages though

zoraneale : Dammmmmn. I want to be You! Lol. My upkeep regimen is super low key. I mostly gave up getting nails done except for special occasions. I get my hair done 1x per year. Makeup and face products are pretty cheap and not worth adding up, except for my clarisonic (Which I received as a gift). If I had to guess, my upkeep is maybe $5-$10 per month maybe?

That’s a lot of maintenance! LOL I was exhausted just reading the list of all the things you do. And to be honest I did many of those things too in my younger days) I have kids now so my money goes towards their needs. 🙂 I do like to buy new makeup products now and then though and I get my hair cut about once a year. I also use henna dye so I have to buy a box of that evry couple of months for a couple of dollars a box. I do love nail polish and have quite an extensive collection – probably buy a couple of bottles of new polish every month so there’s maybe 10 or 12 bucks.
So what’s my craziest splurge? Well I don’t believe in pasteurization or homogonation because I don’t want my kids drinking chemical-laden faux milk that is devoid of nutrients and would actually kill a calf. But my kids love milk…So we drive out to a local farm once a week and pay $10 a gallon for raw milk (so tasty!)Two gallons a week.
Yep I spend $80 a month on milk.
But my beautiful babes are worth it! And technically since it is very nutritious and I enjoyed it too I suppose you could say it is part of our health maintenance 🙂

majorairhead : If I had children, that list would be much shorter! I would have to cut it down to the barest of the bare I’m sure, and it would be worth it I have no doubt.
