Well…they’ll send an endorsement to your existing policy, at which point you will receive revised declarations pages showing the new coverage for your personal articles floater and the policy form outlining the coverage conditions, definitions and limitations.  It’s not out of the ordinary to order changes to an existing policy without signing anything, but they may request a copy of the appraisal.

I never signed anything to add it to my homeowners insurance, just sent the appraisal. I later receivved a revised statement with the policy added.
