Most of the policies I have seen are roughly around $10/year for each $1,000 of the ring’s appraisal value – both standalone and within homeowner’s policy. That’s PA though.

@Lexii:   you can go to the Jewelers Mutual site for an instant quote. Their rates are competitive, so it’ll give you a good idea of whether you should switch.

I use Jeweler’s Mutual as well. Only costs me $25/year.

@Lexii:  My premium was 2% of the appraised value with zero deductible.

@Lexii:  Maybe it’s due to the value of their ring and/or if they went for a deductible.  I opted for no deductible so I paid a higher premium.
