 ever since i saw “the secret” it really made me realize how much i was limiting my potential in life by thinking negatively. and i have worked very hard to overcome negative thinking patterns that i used my whole life, that hindered my sucess. but it has been quite a process and it’s not an easy thing to master. i certainly haven’t mastered it yet. i loved this article. it’s a little reminder at the perfect time to think positively, because thinking positively will get me closer to what i want. thanx for posting this wonder woman!

I wish I had seen this when I was doubting my SO- good article. I defniitely think it can be applied to waiting and trying to think positive on our wait.

Thanks for posting this! Right now I’m struggling with negative thoughts about waiting. I’m determined to change these negative thoughts into positives. I should be enjoying this time in my life, not trying to force the next step (:

@Wonderwoman217: Thanks for posting this!

I hate to say it, but I personally had many A-ha moments when I read The Secret. I noticed, like Impatiently Waiting, that I had really been limiting myself with the thoughts I was having – from everything to my relationship with my SO (including the Waiting process), to struggling at work.

I’ve really been trying to be more positive, and I’ve become really interested in the whole Law of Attraction theory. My SO makes fun of me at times, but so far I’ve actually noticed little differences. I know it may sound lame, corny, or hokey. But I highly recommend looking into the theory. It’s very interesting, and if you go with it, it gets to be fun when you start to notice the little changes you’re making.

One of the big things in The Secret is when you think about things you don’t want, ie: “I don’t want to be in a relationship where we date forever before getting engaged”… that’s what you get more of. It took me a bit, but I noticed when I stopped thinking in those terms and just fully trusted it will definitely happen one of these days… even just talking about getting engaged suddenly became very easy with my SO. No arguments about him not being ready. He’s even gone from saying he wants to wait 2-3 years, to suddenly saying he agrees it’d be nice to be engaged by next year, and that I won’t be waiting forever because he “has plans” (plus a few other little things).  It’s a small start, but it’s definitely something.

I could be crazy and it all could mean nothing… but I like to think it had to do with changing my thought process. Because it changes how you react to and approach things.

If anyone is remotely interested in the Law of Attraction stuff, I know a few good books on the subject. 🙂

“if it can happen for them, it can happen for me” – Best advice ever.  Thanks for the article.
