Ladies, my Fiance and I really want a change. We don’t want to live in Canada anymore (at least not in Ontario, the highest taxed province). We want to move to the US or the Caribbeam but we are open to almost anywhere (we are not considering Europe at this time, but I’d still be very interested in responses from European ladies as we may consider it at a later date). Of couse, we would love to find jobs somewhere and then move, rather than the other way around.
The standard job boards I use are Workopolis and Monster. For professional networking, I use Linkedin. My question is, what job boards are used in other countries? What is the best way to go about getting a job abroad? I have the real estate element down, but I haven’t had much luck googling “caribbean job boards” or “american job search engines.”
What have you used that you would recommend? Thank you 🙂

@BoxerLady: you obviously dont live in Quebec!!! Communist province from hell!!! Have tried to see if you are elegible for a PVT? For Europe?
For Us visa it is fairly easy for Canadians but a little harder to find a Job and for the Carribean you would have to more precise because I see a big difference between Cancun and the pirates islands on the other side…

@bbfyso: We really have no idea how to go about it 🙁 For the Caribbean, I’d love to live in Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, Aruba, pretty much anywhere.
I don’t even know where to look for a job in the US. My only hope is if my company transfers me I guess! lol
I don’t live in Quebec and I’ve only been there twice, so I don’t know much about it. Sounds like I don’t want to 😉

Have you tried seeing if you can get a transfer to a position in your current company to another branch in the US? That is what I did when I initially moved from the US to Canada.

Well, I have a few from Europe that I trawl!
Denmark (If you for some reason felt like going there…)
Google “trabajos en españa” and it comes up with a few, including monster.es
The bigger papers also have jobsections so their online versions might do too; elpais.com and elmundo.es would be a place to start.
Good luck with it!

I don’t know if Australia is a bit far away from you, but you did say you’re open to almost anywhere! So… the best job boards here are seek.com.au , mycareer.com.au , careerone.com.au , jobsearch.gov.au (government run).
