I’m so excited, Bees! Right now I have a job where I work MAYBE 8 hours a week because there are only 80 hours available to split between a full time manager, an assistant manager (who is supposed to get 30-38 hours a week but doesn’t), and two part time employees (including myself). Fiance and I currently live with a roommate (just some random guy I found by putting up flyers last year) and we really would love to live by ourselves after we get married, so I need to make an additional $150 a month minimum just to cover my share of the rent. I’m currently making between $150 and $170 every two weeks, so this is really just not cutting it…
I had a friend of mine (who is really anal about how a resume should look) edit my resume for me a few weeks ago, and last night I decided to email every bank/credit union near me my resume. I also hopped onto Indeed.com and joblink.alabama.gov and just turned in close to 20 job applications. I woke up this morning to a phone call from a credit union that didn’t have an opening listed online but I had emailed my resume there and I have a job interview for Monday for a job that’s 20 hours a week making $2 more than I currently do! I’m stoked. All I need to do to prepare is practice typing.
So, question. Have any of you Bees ever had to do practice typing tests online? Where did you go?
