Mountain Lakes House in Princeton might be perfect for you. It’s a house with a screened outdoor patio which would seat 50. There would be an outside caterer though. There are also a lot of beautiful barns in the area. Raritan Inn in Califon is really nice. I think their barn can easily seat 50.

joana1021 :  I attended a wedding reception (no dancing, just dinner) at Triumph Brewery in Princeton that was really nice. I believe Batello in Jersey City also can do something similar. I would assume most restaurants would be able to help you, depending on where in Jersey you live. :o)

If you like Portuguese food…try Newark NJ I’m having a small wedding at a really awesome resturant there.

Not familiar with NJ, but I looked into possibly renting out a nice, huge house in the ritzy area of town & having the wedding in the backyard. Just an idea!

joana1021 :  The Madison Hotel in Morristown (or Convent Station, but practically in Morristown) is lovely. My dad and stepmom had their brunch reception there, with about 80 people. It was a little tight with that many, so your headcount would be good.

joana1021 :  Boi Na Brasa on Merchant. They have a room upstairs with it’s own bar and restrooms. It has a private entrance and the AC is ice cold. I’m getting married 10/2017. It doesn’t look like much from the outside…typical Portugese bar, but that room is amazing! We are having 50 guests and our plates are about $50 a person. They have menu packagkes according to various budgets. The decor is stunning.

Everyone from the surrounding area loves Fernandes, Iberia and Taste of Portugal, but when you are from Newark you know those are just tourists attractions haha

I would look into country clubs or places that typically host bridal showers. I recently went to a priovate brunch at Our House Tavern for about 40 people and it was fabulous and very afforable! http://ourhouserestaurant.net/images/catering.pdf
