Welcome to the Hive!

(1) My fitness goals are to get in better shape for the wedding!  I’ve had two major knee surgeries after lots of distance running, so I’m still trying to figure out how to replace my daily run in a workout.  But mostly, my goal is to get the stomach pooch gone by the wedding!

(2) We are getting married March 16, 2013 (In DC – hey neighbor!)

(3) Haven’t picked the first dance song, but I think it’s going to be “Nine Million Bicycles” by Katie Melua

(4) Like most of the metro-DC population, Fiance and I are both government contractors.

(5) Random Fact: I never wanted to get married before I met Fiance…which you’d never guess when you met me, because I am SO excited to get married to him!  (My mother is still engaged about how excited I am!)

Welcome! I have smaller dogs myself (an 8 pound mini daschund and a 20 pound pomeranian/sheltie mutt), but I love animals in all shapes and sizes! The best thing about small dogs is that I always win our wrestling matches Wink

I’m trying to get back into a “maintain-able” workout regime. I signed a one-year contract for a gym last January, and pretty much never went. It was a hard year (I was going to teaching school), but now that I’m done school and am officially a teacher, I want to get back into exercising. Maybe run/walk intervals? Bringing more weight training in? I’m cancelling the gym, it just wasn’t for me! I hear the sounds of New Year’s Resolutions approaching!

Anyway, it’s nice to meet you, Dane!

Hi DaneLady, and welcome!

1. My fitness goals are to make it to the gym 3 times a week NO EXCUSES to tone up for the wedding. I love group fitness classes and have been going to spin and body attack classes lately and am having SO much more fun than running or going on the elliptical! So I just gotta keep it up, and I might increase it to 4x a week starting in the summer.

2. We are getting married October 6, 2012 at a vintage, historic hotel in the Lehigh Valley, PA.

3. We *think* our first dance song is going to be Adele’s version of “Make You Feel My Love”

4. I’m a grad student working toward my PhD in Biomedical Sciences, and Fiance is a financial representative at Northwestern Mutual.

5. I am a crazy coupon lady and I bring my 3-ring binder with me everytime I go to the grocery store or CVS πŸ˜›

Nice to meet you πŸ™‚

Welcome to the Hive!  I <3 large mutts.  I’ve had them all my life.  Good for you that you have rescue dogs.  It’s nice to know that they are now being loved and properly cared for.  My current pup came from a shelter.

Welcome to the hive. =)

-what are your fitness goals?

  • Going back to the gym 3-4 times a week no matter what.  I started overnights in August and it threw me off.  I need to get back into it.

-when are you getting married?

  • October 13, 2012.  10 months <3

-what is your first dance song?

  • We are eloping.  No reception.

-what is your occupation?  SO’s occupation?

  • I am a certified nurse’s aide at a psychiatric hospital.  I plan to go back to school ASAP to finish my teaching degree.  I have two years left.  FI is a plumber.   He’s starting his business next month.

-tell me one random fact that most people would not guess upon meeting you for the first time.

  • I quit high school my junior year.  I do have a high school diploma though.  I met my ex shortly after, moved to Ohio, and graduated in Ohio.  I didn’t have to make up my junior year and I was able to graduate when I was originally supposed to.
